Duties Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver integrated with TestNG for comprehensive functional and regression testing. Conduct mainframe testing by automating legacy systems to ensure seamless integration with modern applications. Perform mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms, utilizing tools like Appium for automation of mobile workflows. Design and execute test cases for RESTful APIs, validating endpoints using tools such as Postman or REST-assured, ensuring data integrity and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system specifications, and translate them into effective test plans aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices. Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps to automate build and test processes. Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases, working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues using debugging tools and SQL queries on databases like MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contribute to QA test planning, review test cases, and execute QA/QC activities to ensure high-quality deliverables. Utilize version control systems such as Git or SVN for managing code repositories and maintaining consistency across development cycles. Support performance testing efforts using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under load conditions. Qualifications Proven experience in automation testing with Selenium WebDriver integrated with TestNG or JUnit frameworks. Strong background in mainframe testing environments with experience automating legacy systems. Hands-on knowledge of mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms using automation tools like Appium. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C# for developing robust test scripts; familiarity with JavaScript is a plus. Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats, and API testing tools. Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall; experience working within DevOps pipelines is preferred. Familiarity with database querying using SQL (MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) for data validation and root cause analysis. Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as HP ALM or Jira; ability to document defects clearly and follow up on resolutions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to design comprehensive test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Excellent debugging skills coupled with a keen attention to detail to identify issues efficiently during testing phases. Experience working within a QA/QC environment focused on functional testing, system testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining excellent communication within distributed teams.
