About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Security Systems Estimator to support Australian clients across the security industry, with a focus on Access Control, CCTV, and electronic security systems . This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, highly organised, and confident working with drawings, specifications, supplier pricing, and project requirements. As a Security Systems Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, preparing accurate estimates and quotations, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring proposals are commercially competitive and technically aligned with client requirements. At Fig Advisory, our Estimators play an important role in helping clients accurately scope, price, and deliver security projects across Australia. Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Tendering Review project drawings, plans, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documents Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for security system projects Estimate equipment, materials, labour, installation, programming, and associated costs Prepare take-offs and bills of quantities for CCTV, access control, and related security systems Identify project requirements, exclusions, assumptions, and potential risks Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable, and submitted within deadlines Assist with tender submissions, variations, and re-quotations as required Security Systems Estimate and scope CCTV surveillance systems Estimate and scope Access Control systems Review requirements for cameras, NVRs, servers, readers, controllers, locks, intercoms, and associated equipment Understand basic network and infrastructure requirements for electronic security systems Interpret security drawings, layouts, schematics, and equipment schedules Review existing systems and identify required upgrades, replacements, or additions Stay informed about security products, technologies, and industry practices Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination Request and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Liaise with suppliers to confirm product availability, lead times, and technical specifications Clarify project requirements with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders Identify alternative products or solutions where appropriate Maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Documentation & Administration Maintain accurate estimating files, pricing schedules, and project documentation Prepare detailed quotations, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation Update estimating and project management systems Track supplier pricing and maintain current product and cost information Assist with reporting and other operational or administrative tasks as required Ensure all estimates and documentation are prepared accurately and professionally Qualifications Skills & Experience Experience in security estimating, electronic security, access control, CCTV, electrical estimating, construction estimating, or a similar role Experience working with Australian security, construction, or commercial projects is highly regarded Strong understanding of CCTV and Access Control systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications Experience preparing material take-offs, bills of quantities, and quotations Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Experience with estimating, ERP, CRM, project management, or construction software is an advantage Strong written and verbal English communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tenders, quotes, and deadlines simultaneously Character & Work Ethic We value people who demonstrate: Hunger – Takes initiative, seeks solutions, and continuously looks for ways to improve Discipline – Accurate, organised, reliable, and committed to deadlines Ownership – Takes accountability for estimates and follows through on commitments Curiosity – Willing to learn new security technologies, products, and systems Commercial Mindset – Understands the importance of accurate pricing, margins, and competitive proposals Compensation & Benefits Every Monday – Free Breakfast Every Friday – Free Lunch 13th-month pay Government-mandated benefits Leave credits Growth-focused and supportive work environment Why Join Fig Advisory?
