Ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, coordinated, technically compliant, and aligned with approved design requirements. Escalate complex technical issues, design risks, and deviations to the Senior Security Systems Design Engineer or Design Manager as appropriate. B. Design Development & Engineering Develop security system designs from approved project requirements and design information. Undertake device and equipment selection, system architecture development, security device layouts, equipment room layouts, rack/cabinet layouts, cable and containment requirements, system connectivity, security zoning, door/access control requirements, CCTV coverage, and interface requirements. Review architectural, MEP, structural, ICT and other project information to ensure security requirements are appropriately incorporated into the design. Identify design gaps and technical issues and raise them for resolution. C. Technical Documentation Prepare and maintain design reports, technical specifications, equipment/device/cable schedules, security schematics, network architecture diagrams, system block diagrams, interface documentation, Bills of Materials, and technical submissions. Ensure documentation is produced in accordance with company templates, project standards, document control procedures, and client requirements. Maintain revision control and ensure design changes are accurately incorporated into project documentation. D. Multidisciplinary Design Coordination Coordinate security system designs with Architectural, MEP, ICT, General Contractor, BIM, CAD, and Project Delivery teams. Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and technical workshops. Coordinate security device/equipment locations, containment routes, cable pathways, equipment rooms, security control rooms, server/communications rooms, power requirements, network interfaces, and architectural requirements. E. BIM & CAD Coordination Work closely with BIM and CAD resources to ensure security engineering requirements are accurately incorporated into project models and drawings. Review AutoCAD drawings, Revit models, security layouts, equipment layouts, riser diagrams, schematics, and coordination drawings. Provide technical information and design direction to CAD and BIM resources where required. Ensure security design information is correctly represented within project BIM and CAD environments. Support the Senior Security Systems Design Engineer in reviewing design deliverables prior to client submission. F. Client & Stakeholder Support Support the Senior Security Systems Design Engineer and Design Manager during client and stakeholder engagement. Participate in client meetings, design workshops, technical coordination meetings, design reviews, requirements gathering sessions, and contractor coordination meetings. Provide technical responses to routine RFIs, client/consultant comments, technical queries, and site queries. Escalate complex or commercially sensitive technical matters to the appropriate senior engineering resource. G. Risk-Based Security Design Support security designs based upon Threat Assessments, Vulnerability Assessments, Risk Assessments, Security Risk Registers, and Operational Security Requirements. Apply defence-in-depth, layered security, security zoning, CPTED principles, operational resilience, and risk-based technology selection. Ensure security systems address identified risks and operational requirements. Support the Senior Security Systems Design Engineer in translating risk and operational requirements into practical engineering solutions. H. Security Systems Integration Support design and coordination of security system interfaces with BMS, Fire & Life Safety Systems, ICT Infrastructure, Data Centre Management Platforms, Operational Technology (OT), Enterprise Management Platforms, and Third-Party Systems. Contribute to Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Integration Strategies, Alarm Handling Logic, System Interface Requirements, Security Programming Requirements, and Cause-and-Effect Matrices. Ensure interfaces are clearly documented and coordinated with relevant engineering disciplines. I. Project Delivery & Construction Support Provide engineering support throughout Concept Design, Detailed Design, Tender, Construction, Installation, Testing & Commissioning, and Handover. Support technical queries, RFIs, design changes, site coordination, installation queries, design clarifications, drawing updates, and as-built documentation.
