Job Purpose The Security Engineer is mainly responsible for end-to-end project management and security engineering of ISD’s security infrastructure tools and projects. The role supports the Security Architect in building and implementing secure infrastructure designed by the Security Architect, from the planning stages to implementation and as a technical resource and subject matter expert of the system. II. Job Duties and Responsibilities - Perform complete project management of security tools as assigned by the Security Architect from planning stages to implementation. - Act as internal technical resource and subject matter expert on the implemented project. - Apply security engineering in the security tools being implemented by using necessary tools, processes and methods needed to design, implement and test complete systems. - Performs regular policy review of security tools and systems that are exclusively being maintained by ISD to ensure that the security tools are being used properly and optimally. - Performs firewall policies review for firewalls maintained by the bank and its partners who subscribed to ISD’s managed security services. - Provide technical assistance to ISD Cybersecurity Incident Response (ISD-CSIRD) team in the use of deployed security tools that can aide during security incident investigations when necessary. - Performs other tasks that may be assigned by ISD management from time to time related to process improvements within SED. - When necessary for this role, participate in the following initiatives of the bank: - Participates in the ISD’s BCP activities and perform the duties as prescribed in the bank’s BCP guidelines. - Participates in Service Quality initiatives, and ensures that satisfactory ratings in such initiatives are attained. Attends seminars and training programs related to the job. - Participates in the Bank’s sustainable finance-related activities and performs functions as assigned, to help achieve sustainable finance and other sustainability goals of the Bank. I II. Job Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree - At least 2 years’ experience in a project management role, preferably in the information security industry. - Must be familiar with network protocols, encryption protocols, and scripting languages. - Must be assertive in implementing the security projects; diplomatic, ethical and willing to work beyond what is required to accomplish the objectives. - Experience in an information security role managing security infra systems, tools and/or IT devices is preferred but not mandatory.
