Duties Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax preparation software and financial software tools. Ensure all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with current tax law and reporting standards. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information and explain tax concepts clearly. Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry into accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage. Conduct analysis of financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential areas for tax savings. Support the team in maintaining organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence. Contribute to client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and providing excellent customer service. Experience Prior experience in public accounting or a related accounting role is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance procedures, and tax reporting requirements. Proficiency with tax preparation software, accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and financial analysis tools. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients. Experience with partnership or corporate tax is a plus; familiarity with individual tax preparation is essential. Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak season. Basic typing skills (minimum 10 key) combined with strong analysis skills for accurate data entry and review.
