This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, combining hands-on automation testing with system analysis to ensure the highest quality of financial transaction systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software testing, automation frameworks, and financial domain knowledge, particularly within settlement operations. Your expertise will drive the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, ensuring seamless functionality across multiple platforms and systems. Duties Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and scripting languages like Python and Java to validate financial settlement applications. Perform functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for complex financial systems involving settlement processes. Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements related to financial transactions and settlement workflows. Execute API testing for RESTful web services and SOAP-based web services to verify data integrity and system integrations. Conduct root cause analysis on defects, troubleshoot issues related to system performance or functionality, and document findings thoroughly. Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, or GitLab for code management; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment. Support release management activities by validating new features through QA test planning, test case design, and comprehensive test execution aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Engage in Agile practices by participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and collaborating within Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, defect reports using tools like HP ALM or Jira; ensure traceability from requirements through testing phases. Assist in performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under high transaction volumes typical of financial settlements. Skills Strong proficiency in automation frameworks utilizing Selenium WebDriver with TestNG or JUnit for robust test automation solutions. Extensive experience with mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms for financial applications; familiarity with mobile testing tools is a plus. Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats for integration testing; experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI is desirable. Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, C#, JavaScript; scripting skills for test automation are essential. Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB; ability to perform SQL/PLSQL queries for data validation during testing phases. Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab; experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex issues within financial settlement systems. Experience working within Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall SDLC methodologies; understanding of requirements gathering and business analysis processes. Knowledge of DevOps practices including release management, build automation with Maven or Ant, and continuous integration workflows. Ability to develop comprehensive test plans and write detailed test cases aligned with functional specifications; experience with QA/QC standards is preferred. Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM; excellent documentation skills for tracking issues throughout the development lifecycle.
