Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals. Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to meet customer needs. Operations Management: Oversee procurement, production, and distribution activities. Ensure the timely delivery of products to customers or retailers. Supplier and Vendor Relations: Select and manage suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Logistics and Distribution: Manage transportation, warehousing, and inventory control processes. Optimize logistics networks for cost efficiency and reliability. Risk Management: Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor global and regional market trends affecting supply chain operations. Cost Optimization: Analyze costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. Use data analytics to identify inefficiencies in the supply chain. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor supply chain teams to achieve department objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
