Packerland Portables is a locally owned portable restroom company based in Wautoma, Wisconsin, with established satellite operations in Oshkosh. We are looking for a dependable, organized, self-directed individual to take responsibility for our Oshkosh location and oversee its day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys having responsibility, working independently, keeping things organized, and making sure the job gets done right without needing constant direction. You will manage our local facility and equipment, track inventory, directly supervise our technicians, and communicate regularly with management in Wautoma. While this is primarily an operations management position, you will also provide hands-on field support when necessary. We are looking for someone who doesn't just complete assigned tasks, but recognizes what needs to be done and takes responsibility for getting it done. Key responsibilities Location and Operations Management - Take ownership of the daily operation, organization, and upkeep of our Oshkosh location. - Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional yard and work area. - Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained, organized, and ready for daily operations. - Identify operational problems, address what you can independently, and communicate issues that require additional support. - Establish consistent routines to keep the location running efficiently. Inventory and Equipment Control - Track inventory, supplies, parts, and materials. - Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment before supplies run short. - Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records. - Help protect company assets by identifying waste, damage, and unnecessary expenses. Employee Supervision and Accountability - Directly supervise our local drivers/technicians and coordinate daily priorities. - Set clear expectations and follow up to ensure assigned work is completed properly and on schedule. - Address routine performance and operational concerns promptly and professionally. - Communicate employee concerns, recurring issues, and performance updates to ownership. - Lead by example and maintain consistent standards for safety, reliability, and quality of work. Field and Route Support - Assist with portable restroom service routes when workload, staffing, or unexpected circumstances require it. - Help resolve day-to-day field issues and keep service operations moving. - Be willing to step in and perform hands-on work when needed, while keeping your primary focus on managing the location. Communication and Reporting - Maintain regular communication with ownership and management in Wautoma. - Provide updates on inventory, equipment condition, employee performance, and operational needs. - Follow established procedures and maintain accurate records. - Bring forward problems and practical solutions rather than allowing small issues to become larger ones. Previous experience in operations, supervision, fleet management, maintenance, warehouse leadership, construction, field services, or a similar role is preferred. Portable restroom industry experience is not required. We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate responsibility, sound judgment, organization, and the ability to run day-to-day operations independently.
