# SAP BW Consultant ( Business Warehouse / Reporting ) **Hiree** · Kuala Lumpur · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role JOB DESCRIPTION SAP BW Consultant (Business Warehouse / Reporting) Position SAP BW Consultant Reporting To Application Support Lead / BI Team Lead Job Summary The SAP BW Consultant is responsible for the development, support and maintenance of the data warehouse and reporting environment. This includes data modelling, extraction from the SAP source modules, report and query development, monitoring of scheduled data loads, and resolving reporting issues raised by users and agencies. Key Responsibilities ● Design and maintain BW data models, including InfoObjects, DSO / ADSO, InfoCubes, CompositeProviders and MultiProviders. ● Set up and maintain data extraction from SAP source modules such as FI, FM (Funds Management), CO, MM, Asset Accounting, PSCD and HCM / Payroll, using standard business content, LO Cockpit and generic datasources. ● Develop transformations, DTPs and routines, including ABAP coding where required. ● Develop and enhance reports and queries using BEx Query Designer and Analysis for Office. ● Schedule and monitor process chains and daily data loads, and troubleshoot load failures within the agreed service level. ● Reconcile data between BW and the SAP source system, and investigate variances raised by users. ● Provide reporting support during month end, year end closing and the preparation of financial statements. ● Attend to incidents, service requests and change requests through the helpdesk system, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues. ● Carry out performance tuning for queries and data loads, including aggregates, indexing, compression, partitioning and housekeeping of BW objects. ● Maintain analysis authorisations so that reporting data is segregated correctly by ministry, controlling officer and PTJ. ● Prepare functional and technical specifications, unit test scripts, transport documentation and user guides. ● Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing. ● Liaise with the functional consultants (FI, FM, CO, HCM), ABAP developers and the BASIS team on cross module and cross system issues. ● Gather reporting requirements from users and agency representatives and translate them into technical designs. ● Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to client personnel and junior team members. Requirements ● Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or a related field. ● Minimum 3 years of hands on SAP BW experience (BW 7.x, BW on HANA or BW/4HANA) in a support or implementation environment. ● Good working knowledge of data warehouse modelling, extraction, transformations, DTPs and process chains. ● Able to build and modify queries in BEx Query Designer, including restricted and calculated key figures, variables, exceptions and conditions. ● Working knowledge of ABAP for BW routines, user exits and debugging. ● Able to reconcile warehouse data against the SAP source modules and explain variances to users. ● Malaysian citizen. Able to undergo security screening or vetting if required by the client. ● Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken. ● Willing to be stationed at the client site and to provide standby support during critical financial periods. Added Advantage ● Experience with SAP BW/4HANA, HANA modelling (calculation views, CDS views) or SAP Datasphere. ● Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud or Lumira. ● Exposure to SAP FI, FM, CO, PSCD or Public Sector Management modules. ● Previous experience on Malaysian government or public sector financial systems such as iGFMAS, GFMAS, eSPKB, eTerimaan or SPEKS. ● Understanding of government accounting on cash and accrual bases. ● SAP certification in BW or BW/4HANA. ● Experience working under a managed services or application support SLA arrangement. Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
