The role covers system administration and monitoring, transport and change management, database and interface administration, patching and upgrades, user and security administration, and technical incident resolution, with particular attention to payment runs, payroll runs and closing periods. Key Responsibilities ● Administer the SAP landscape across development, quality, production and disaster recovery environments, including SAP NetWeaver / ECC, Solution Manager, Portal / Fiori and integration middleware. ● Perform daily system health checks and monitoring, covering system logs, short dumps, work processes, lock entries, update errors, spool, background jobs, buffer and memory utilisation. ● Schedule, monitor and troubleshoot background jobs, including payment, payroll, interface and closing related jobs. ● Manage output management and spool or printing for high volume financial documents. ● Administer the Transport Management System (STMS), including transport routes, imports, sequence checks and post import verification. ● Carry out client administration, client copy, and system refresh or system copy activities together with post refresh housekeeping. ● Apply SAP Notes (SNOTE), support packages and add ons (SPAM / SAINT), kernel upgrades and enhancement package activities. ● Plan and execute patching and maintenance windows in line with the client's change control process, including rollback planning. ● Perform database administration such as space management, growth monitoring, statistics, reorganisation and housekeeping. ● Manage backup and recovery, verify restore capability, and take part in disaster recovery replication and DR drills. ● Carry out performance analysis and tuning, including workload analysis, expensive SQL, buffer and parameter tuning, and load balancing configuration. ● Administer users, roles and authorisations (SU01, PFCG), including mass maintenance and periodic access reviews. ● Maintain system security, covering audit log configuration and review, security parameters, SSL certificates, SSO and Web Dispatcher configuration. ● Maintain RFC connections and connectivity with integrated agency systems, and troubleshoot interface and middleware failures. ● Support internal and external audit requests with logs, evidence and configuration documentation. ● Attend to technical incidents, service requests and problem records through the helpdesk system within the agreed service level, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues. ● Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures and configuration records. ● Liaise with the functional, ABAP, BW, network and infrastructure teams on cross team issues, and support knowledge transfer to client personnel. Requirements ● Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field. ● Minimum 3 years of hands on SAP BASIS administration experience on SAP NetWeaver / SAP ECC or S/4HANA production landscapes. ● Able to monitor and troubleshoot using standard SAP tools such as SM21, ST22, SM37, SM12, SM13, ST03N, SM50, SM66 and DB02. ● Experience in transport management (STMS), client administration and transport troubleshooting. ● Experience in SAP Note implementation, support package application and kernel patching. ● Experience in user, role and authorisation administration (SU01, PFCG, SUIM). ● Working knowledge of at least one SAP supported database (SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server or DB2), including backup, restore and space management. ● Familiar with Linux, UNIX or Windows Server at the level required for SAP administration, including basic scripting. ● Malaysian citizen. Able to undergo security screening or vetting if required by the client. ● Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken. ● Willing to be stationed at the client site, to join the standby rotation, and to work outside office hours for maintenance windows and closing periods. Added Advantage ● Experience in SAP HANA administration, HANA System Replication or Oracle Data Guard. ● Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, monitoring, EarlyWatch reports) and SAP Fiori / Gateway administration. ● Experience with SAP PI / PO or other integration middleware. ● Experience in system copy or refresh, EHP upgrade, OS or DB migration, and SUM / DMO. ● Previous experience on Malaysian government or public sector systems such as iGFMAS, GFMAS, eSPKB, eTerimaan or SPEKS. ● Exposure to cloud or hybrid SAP hosting and high availability or DR architecture. ● SAP certification in NetWeaver or BASIS administration. ITIL Foundation is an added advantage. Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
