Our clientele includes some of the Bay Area’s finest distributors, specialty stores, groceries and restaurants. Job Description: Sales Team Member We are looking for a curious, optimistic and passionate team member to join our fun and supportive Sales Team. The Sales Team Member supports all tasks related to the sales department, and particularly how that department communicates with customers and the fulfillment department. This position will provide direct support in efforts to further enhance sales, customer service, the fulfillment of orders, and the flow of information for the company. A positive attitude, flexibility and attention to detail are essential for success in this position. This position requires a high-level of interdepartmental and customer interaction. Our Ideal Candidate: · Loves artisanal cheese and specialty foods, its production and sharing it with others. · Is a reliable and supportive team member · Has the ability to type and use a computer (QuickBooks, Google Docs, MS Office). · Has the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds · Can work a flexible schedule, some evening and occasional holidays · Is a mature, self-starter, and hard worker with a strong sense of professionalism (hospitality background is also a plus) Major Areas of Responsibility: · Engage in all sales related activities which facilitate sales of gourmet cheese and specialty foods to our customer base. · Enhance and grow a regional sales base of customers. · Act as a liaison between the sales department, clientele and fulfillment department · Monitor calls and emails, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner · Provide support to both the sales and fulfillment departments when needed · Be on site and available to assist the fulfillment department with the coordination of order data, trucking paperwork, the general fulfillment of orders and administrative work that relates to the sales department · Ensure excellent customer service and support at all times Qualifications: Candidates with a strong combination of these qualifications will be considered · Experience with data management systems: Excel, Google Suite, and QuickBooks ( strongly preferred ) · Experience in sales, marketing, customer service, fulfillment ( strongly preferred ) · Self-directed with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve · Flexibility: able to prioritize and manage workload in a busy work environment · Highly organized with a keen attention to detail · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive outlook, and a sense of humor! · Ability to effectively multitask and manage many interruptions and personalities · Experience managing ever changing deadlines and logistics · Motivated and energized to innovate and implement systems to improve internal operations · Provide help to other departments when needed Location and Schedule: This is a full time opportunity. The Sales Team Member will need to be on site and as needed be flexible to potentially work in the field. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 9AM - 6PM. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation commensurate with experience.
