Sales Intelligence & Execution Analyst
Merrow Superior LLC, part of the Merrow Group, is seeking a Sales Intelligence & Execution Analyst to turn customer, product and market information into specific, actionable sales opportunities. This is not a traditional Sales Administration role and it is not a pure reporting position. The Analyst will work closely with company leadership and the sales team to identify where the highest-value opportunities exist, research those opportunities, develop targeted sales briefs, and provide representatives with clear direction on who to contact, why the opportunity matters, what conversation to have, what information to gather, and what outcome we are trying to achieve. The role then closes the loop by reviewing results, identifying what is and is not working, and adjusting future sales actions accordingly. Core Purpose Convert commercial information into deliberate sales execution: Analyze → Research → Prioritize → Build the Play → Execute → Measure → Adjust. Key Responsibilities Account & Opportunity Analysis Analyze customer purchase history, sales trends, product penetration, declines and growth opportunities. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts into additional products, brands and categories. Identify high-potential prospects within targeted markets, verticals and geographic areas. Prioritize where sales resources should be focused. Commercial Research Research customer businesses, industries, competitors, product offerings and market positioning. Use internal data, external research and AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT to develop concise account and opportunity intelligence. Identify product substitutions, competitive opportunities and adjacent sales opportunities. Sales Play Development Build specific sales briefs that define: Who should be contacted; Why the opportunity matters; Relevant account or market intelligence; Products or categories to discuss; Recommended messaging and value proposition; Questions that need to be answered; The desired commercial outcome; and Required next steps. Sales Execution Support Build prioritized daily and weekly outreach plans for assigned sales representatives. Coordinate targeted activity across account managers, product specialists and channel representatives. Track completion and capture the results of customer conversations. Escalate significant opportunities, obstacles or incomplete execution to management. Performance & Continual Improvement Review results and identify what is and is not working. Analyze customer feedback, objections and conversion patterns. Recommend changes to targeting, messaging, offers and sales tactics. Maintain a continuous feedback loop between sales representatives, analysts and leadership. Brand & Channel Development Support growth initiatives across Superior and Merrow brands and represented product lines by: Identifying target accounts and dealers; Developing competitive replacement opportunities; Building geographic prospect campaigns; Supporting dealer demand-generation programs; and Helping product/channel representatives execute measurable growth plans. What Success Looks Like Success means: Salespeople have clear, prioritized commercial actions each day; Priority accounts and prospects receive deliberate, account-specific attention; Sales activity is tied to measurable outcomes rather than activity alone; Unsuccessful strategies are identified and changed quickly; New brands and products receive disciplined commercial execution; and Analyst-directed activity generates measurable opportunities, revenue and gross profit. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to turn complex information into concise, actionable recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, highly accountable environment. Strong spreadsheet and business productivity skills. Familiarity with AI tools such as OpenAI / Anthropic strongly preferred. Experience in sales operations, business analysis, research, marketing or commercial strategy is helpful but not required. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and asks: Why is this customer buying? Why aren’t they buying more? What else should they be buying? Who else should we be selling this to? What did we learn from the last conversation, and what should we do next? You should be comfortable working with data, researching unfamiliar markets, using technology to move quickly, and operating with a high level of daily structure and accountability. Most importantly, you do not stop at producing analysis. You turn analysis into action. Schedule, compensation, and benefits Full-time, Monday-Friday, on-site at Fall River, MA office.
