What is DG Ventures?

We sell premium sports travel packages for a living. Golf tours. F1 weekends. Rugby tours. Football experiences. The kind of trips people remortgage their expectations for and then immediately start planning the next one.

Yes, it is a real job. Yes, people pay real money for it. Yes, we are aware of how good that sounds.

We are based in Mullingar — Ireland’s most sports-obsessed office — and somehow between selling golf tours and F1 packages we ended up with two extra floors on our head office, a new office in South Africa, and nearly 100 staff. We are not entirely sure where the time went. The important thing is we are hiring.

Our clients come to us. Sports fans and corporate groups land on our website already interested and your job is to pick up the phone and turn that interest into the trip of their lives. No cold calling. No strangers who have never heard of you. Just warm leads and people who already want what you are selling. As sales jobs go, this is one of the better ones to have.

Who This Is Not For

We will be honest in a way most job ads will not.

• Anyone who has never watched a sport and cannot name a golf course, a rugby team, or a Formula 1 driver. One of those three. That is all we ask.
• Anyone who finds phone calls stressful. This role is almost entirely phone based. If reading that sentence made you want to lie down, this is probably not your one.
• Anyone whose definition of ambition is hitting the bare minimum and slipping out the door at 4:59pm. Commission here is uncapped. The ceiling on your earnings is entirely your own problem.
• Anyone not fully fluent in English, written and spoken. This is non-negotiable and not a surprise given it is a phone based sales role where words are the entire product.
• Anyone who cannot reliably get to Mullingar Monday to Friday. Bus, car, bicycle, creative arrangement. We do not mind. We just need you there.

Who This Is For

Someone who actually likes sport. Not as a personality trait to mention in interviews. Actually likes it.

Someone who is naturally good on the phone and does not find it strange to call a person they have never met and have a real conversation with them. Because again, that is the job. Quite a lot of the job.

Someone competitive enough to care about their numbers, self aware enough not to be insufferable about it, and coachable enough to keep getting better even when things are going well.

Someone who wants to build something over time rather than just have somewhere to be between 9 and 5.

Sold before? Brilliant. Never sold anything in your life but you genuinely love sport and have the right attitude? Also fine. We hire for the person and sort out the rest.

What You Will Actually Be Doing

• Converting warm inbound leads into confirmed sports travel bookings. Golf, F1, rugby, football, and everything in between.
• Owning the full sales cycle from first call to confirmed booking. Nobody is doing this bit for you.
• Building the kind of client relationships where people come back and ask for you specifically
• Keeping across sports and travel trends so you always know what to pitch and when
• Hitting targets. Missing some. Hitting them again. This is sales. That is how it works. Everyone misses some.
• Working with the wider team to make sure every client gets an experience worth talking about for years
