Our stores are friendly, fun, and fast-paced the perfect place to grow your retail skills and be part of a supportive team. The Role We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Newmarket team. Hours: 11.5 hours per week (Friday: 16:00-20:00, Sunday: 10:00-18:00) Applications Process: As part of your application, you’ll be asked to complete a short online chat interview. It takes around 15 minutes and gives us a chance to get to know you a bit better If you’re short on time, no worries — you can save your progress and come back to finish it later. We definitely encourage you to take your time and give the chat questions a good go. Because the chat interview is part of our selection process, you’ll just need to make sure it’s completed for your application to move through to the next stage . In this role, you’ll : - Help customers find the right products and sizes, providing a friendly, welcoming experience every day. - Maintain store standards, keeping displays tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing. - Support operational tasks including point-of-sale transactions, stock replenishment, and daily store duties. - Contribute to team goals, helping the store succeed and supporting your colleagues. What We’re Looking For: - A positive attitude, energy, and a love for helping people. - Confidence to engage with customers and share product knowledge. - Flexibility to work rostered hours including weekends and public holidays. - Teamwork and collaboration skills. - Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not essential. What You’ll Deliver in This Role: - Customer Experience & Sales : Deliver our “Every Day Great Experience” (EDGE) by engaging customers, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice. Achieve personal and team sales targets while upselling and maximising the customer experience. - Store Presentation & Standards : Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, and promotions are executed accurately. - Operational Support : Assist with stock, deliveries, and transfers. Follow cash-handling procedures and store security practices. Support opening and closing duties as required. - T eamwork & Collaboration : Work closely with your Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and team members. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
