St Giles International HighgateLondon

Sales Administrator

Company profile

The first St Giles College was founded in central London in 1955 by Paul and Diana Lindsay as an English-language training centre. We have now become a successful medium-sized business and currently employ more than 100 people annually, a number that increases substantially during the summer. St Giles has been shortlisted as a “Star Chain School” in our industry awards, the StudyTravel Magazine Star Awards, most years since the awards’ inception. In 2014, St Giles International was listed in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 as one of Britain’s fastest-growing overseas sales exporters. In 2015, St Giles International received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for achieving six years of growth between 2009 and 2014.

We are one of the best-known, largest, and most successful privately owned English-language training organisations founded in the UK. We remain a family-owned business, which is unusual for an organisation of our size. This is a key selling point for many of our partners, who value consistent, long-term leadership and wish to build lasting relationships with us. We have a proud reputation within the industry for quality and professionalism. This stems from our commitment to serving our clients – whether students or Overseas Partners (“agents”) who send students to us – to the highest standard. They are our customers and expect friendliness, flexibility, efficiency, reliability, high teaching standards, and the latest technology.

The St Giles Group now comprises five year-round centres in the UK: Brighton, Cambridge, Eastbourne, London Central, and London Highgate. We also run a thriving summer-course operation, with residential camps for Juniors aged 8–17 in the UK and Family courses for parents and children in Brighton, Cambridge, and London. The ages we serve across all courses range from as young as five to over 70.

Our team

The St Giles Sales Team is a small, close-knit, high-performing team within our Head Office. It is one of our centralised functions, alongside Marketing, Group Admissions, and Accounts. Head Office is led by Hannah Lindsay-Cornish, Chief Executive Officer. Tom Borrie, the Chief Operations Officer also provides direction and support.

The Sales Team works closely with the Marketing Team to ensure that appropriate collateral is produced to support its sales activities. The team also works closely with Group Admissions, which processes bookings and liaises with direct students and Overseas Partners.

Our ethos

We are proud to offer a sociable, vibrant, and multicultural working environment, with regular opportunities to consult, report, and collaborate with colleagues. We are a hard-working team that is happy to support one another when required. We encourage colleagues to take an interest in markets beyond their own and to help manage those regions when needed.
