The role ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards related to occupational safety and health, environmental management, fire and life safety, emergency preparedness, and business continuity. The Safety Manager serves as the building's Pollution Control Officer (PCO), leads the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and acts as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies on all EHS matters. Primary Duties/Function s: 1. Lead and manage all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs of the building, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable laws and regulations. 2. Serve as the building's Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and oversee compliance with environmental regulations, permits, monitoring requirements, and reporting obligations with regulatory agencies. 3. Develop, implement, and continuously improve occupational safety and health programs in compliance with RA 11058, DOLE regulations, and other applicable standards. 4. Develop, implement, and monitor fire and life safety programs in coordination with the Security Manager and Chief Engineer, ensuring compliance with RA 9514 (Fire Code of the Philippines) and related regulations. 5. Lead and manage the building's Emergency Response Team (ERT), including planning, training, drills, exercises, and emergency preparedness programs. 6. Develop, maintain, and regularly update the building's Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), emergency response procedures, disaster recovery plans, and crisis management programs. 7. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, risk assessments, and compliance reviews; ensure timely closure of identified findings and corrective actions. 8. Review and approve Permit-to-Work (PTW), Hot Work Permits (HWP), and other safety-related permits, ensuring that all contractor and tenant activities comply with approved safety requirements. 9. Review tenant fit-out, renovation, and construction activities from an EHS perspective, ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and fire-life safety requirements. 10. Conduct safety orientations, awareness programs, training sessions, and regulatory drills for PMO personnel, tenants, contractors, and building occupants. 11. Liaise with government agencies including the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Health, and local government units regarding EHS compliance and regulatory requirements. 12. Prepare and submit EHS reports, compliance reports, permits, audit findings, incident investigations, and management updates; assist the Property Manager in budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS programs. 13. Coordinate and support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of occupant health, wellness, and indoor environmental quality programs, including initiatives related to air quality, water quality, thermal comfort, occupant well-being, and WELL Building Standard compliance requirements.
