As a key supervisor, you will oversee daily transit activities, manage driver performance, and uphold the highest standards of customer care and safety compliance. Your role is vital in creating a positive experience for riders while maintaining efficient operations on the road. Responsibilities Supervise daily paratransit routes, ensuring timely and safe transportation for all passengers. Monitor and support bus drivers, providing coaching on driving techniques, behavior management, and customer service. Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and ensure adherence to all traffic laws and company policies. Coordinate with dispatch to optimize routes and address any operational issues promptly. Communicate effectively with multilingual passengers, children, seniors, and individuals with special needs to ensure respectful and accommodating service. Maintain accurate records of driver logs, incident reports, and vehicle maintenance schedules. Provide leadership in emergency situations or incidents on the road, coordinating with emergency responders as needed. Driving Routes in revenue services. Qualifications Valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement required. Proven experience in bus driving, paratransit services, or school bus driving. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse communities. Knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting skills. Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals requiring specialized care is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally. Ability to manage behavior effectively and provide clear instructions to drivers and passengers alike. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in transportation or childcare settings is preferred.
