Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Lead specializing in Laboratory Billing to join our dynamic healthcare finance team. Svast is a trusted and growing healthcare RCM (Medical billing) company. Svast is expanding laboratory billing services and are looking for a sharp, client-facing Revenue Cycle Lead with experience in laboratory billing. This role serves as the lab billing subject matter expert and primary point of contact for clients, solving problems, owning the relationship, resolving issues, and driving revenue cycle performance. A portion of your time will be billed directly to clients in a consulting capacity, so you must be comfortable owning outcomes and presenting yourself as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

• Being a subject matter expert in laboratory billing, serve as the primary point of contact for lab billing clients — resolving issues, managing relationships, setting expectations, and communicating performance outcomes
• Analyze billing data and reporting to identify trends, denial patterns, underpayments, and revenue leakage — translate findings into actionable insights for clients
• Consult with clients on lab billing best practices, payer policy changes, fee schedule optimization, and compliance requirements
• Review and interpret EOBs, ERAs, and payer remittances specific to laboratory claims
• Understand and navigate CLIA, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies for lab billing including MoPath, toxicology, routine labs, and specialty panels
• Oversee claim submission, denial management, appeals, and AR follow-up — ensure SLAs are met and escalations are resolved timely
• Convince and retain clients through data-driven storytelling — present monthly performance reviews, denial dashboards, and collection trend reports with clarity and confidence
• Stay current on payer LCD/NCD policies, ICD-10/CPT coding updates, and lab-specific billing regulations
• Identify process gaps and think creatively to solve non-standard billing challenges across specialties

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on medical billing experience specifically in laboratory billing — routine labs, specialty diagnostics, toxicology, molecular pathology, or reference lab preferred
• Strong command of lab-specific CPT codes, modifiers, LOINC codes, and payer adjudication logic
• Demonstrated experience in client-facing or account management roles — comfortable leading calls, presenting data, and navigating difficult conversations
• Proficiency with practice management or lab billing software
• Solid understanding of Medicare Part B, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement rules for labs
• Ability to analyze AR data, denial reports, and collection metrics and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — professional, persuasive, and precise

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with HIPAA, CLIA, and OIG compliance requirements specific to laboratory services
• Prior experience in a consulting or fractional billing leadership capacity
• CPC, CPB, or equivalent coding/billing certification

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
