The Opportunity Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of *** Retirement Living community. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community and the effective management in accordance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. You'll be supported by the Regional Operations Manager in developing, implementing, and reinforcing policies, processes and practices that strive for continual improvement. Your customer-centred approach to your work and ability to connect with our residents will help you be successful. This role is a customer-facing role where you will be required to be organised, fast-paced and friendly. What we offer - Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options - Two (2) additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar year - Annual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive scheme - Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program - Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers - Opportunities for further career progression - Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community - Opportunity to take part in Aveo Learning & Development courses to develop your professional skills Your Impact: - Enable residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy, choice and quality of life & maintain effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families - Coordinate all daily operations of village services including safety, security, maintenance, compliance and functions & events - Creation and implementation of budget development & financial management - Ensure correct implementation and ongoing compliance with all policies and procedures (including ensuring correct administrative processes are in place and followed) - Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements - Act in accordance with all relevant external legislation & internal policies and procedures that relate to this position and the organisation - Manage a team of staff including hiring, inductions, rostering, ongoing training & development and performance management - Liaise with fellow care and sales staff to build sales and ensure care outcomes are exceeded What you'll bring: - Prior experience in an operations-based management role (e.g Hospitality, Hotel/Tourism, Property Management, Facilities Management, Retirement or Aged Care etc.) - Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline (desirable, not essential) - People management skills with a passion for leading teams & developing your staff - Body Corporate experience is advantageous but not essential - Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced computer skills - Self-motivated with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction - Empathic and understanding of the needs of residents and their families - Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete for you!) - Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19 Who we are As a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating. Location: Maple Grove Retirement Village – 25-29 Pine Rd, Casula NSW 2170 Opportunity: Permanent Full-time Reports to: General Manager - Operations The Opportunity Maple Grove Retirement Village is one of Aveo's tight-knit senior living communities, set on beautifully landscaped gardens in the peaceful, leafy surrounds of Casula, just 34km southwest of Sydney's CBD. Residents enjoy easy access to everyday conveniences, with Casula Central Shopping Centre, Liverpool Hospital, Whitlam Aquatic Centre and the Fairfield Showgrounds all close by. As the Community Manager, you will lead from the front in creating a culture of customer service, driving improvements, resolving challenges with compassion, and fostering an environment where residents feel supported. You will provide resilient leadership and management by overseeing the entire day-to-day operations and performance of this community to create a positive and welcoming environment. Leading by example, you will develop a culture of impeccable resident satisfaction, financial performance, facilities management and people leadership. This is a diverse, hands-on operations role - ideal for someone with a background in Hotel, Tourism, Hospitality or Operations Management. Your Impact: - Take ownership and lead operations of village services, including compliance, safety & security, people leadership, facilities management and resident culture. - Foster a culture of resident satisfaction by promoting open communication, professionalism, honesty, and regular resident connection across the community. - Oversee and implement community finance budgets by partnering with internal finance partners, resident committees and delivering presentations to residents. - Work closely with the on-site maintenance team, external contractors and the Aveo Facilities team to improve the facilities and grounds for the overall community. - Display a strong sense of people leadership, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and development of your department managers & team members. - Demonstrate resilience and composure, making sound decisions and resolving issues effectively while managing difficult interactions, workplace risks, and compliance obligations (including DoA). - Partner with a wide range of internal teams, including (but not limited to): Facilities, Operations, Care, Marketing, Legal, Sales and Risk. - Enable residents to maintain their optimum level of independence and build interpersonal relations through collaboration with residents and resident committee members.
