Retail Team Leader - The Exchange Ilford

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Retail Team Leader to join our growing retail business, specialising in family and lifestyle products, at our new store opening in The Exchange Shopping Centre, Ilford .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment and is excited to be part of a new store opening.

The successful candidate will support the launch and day-to-day operations of the store, lead the team, and help deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high store standards and driving sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and maintain high standards across the shop floor.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.
• Ensure pricing, promotions and product displays are accurate and well presented.
• Lead, coach and support team members, including new starters.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance throughout the day.
• Drive sales and support store KPI performance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer concerns professionally.
• Support opening and closing store procedures when required.
• Contribute to a successful new store opening and help establish a positive team culture.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail leadership, supervision or team management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Customer-focused, proactive and positive attitude.
• Reliable, flexible and available to work weekends.
• Ability to support a new store opening and adapt to a growing retail environment.
