Retail Sales Assistant
LAKSHMI NARAYAN LIMITED is looking for reliable Retail Sales Assistants to join our team in Howick, Auckland and support daily store operations. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the store is clean and well-presented. The ideal candidates will have good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude. Key Responsibilities: Determining customer requirements and advising on the product range. Assisting customers and selling products. Implementing best practices to increase sales and profitability. Receiving incoming products and checking for damage or discrepancies against invoices. Processing cash and card payments and preparing sales receipts/invoices. Maintaining shelf allocation and shelf tagging. Ensuring products are placed in the correct locations with appropriate labels. Cutting and wrapping fresh produce and cheeses. Assisting with stock management and participating in stocktakes. Pick up stock from suppliers as required to maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure the smooth operation of the store (provided a valid driver's licence is held). Filling and refilling grocery shelves and displays as required. Restacking and organising stock in the storage area. Contributing to team efforts and completing related tasks as required. Keeping the store clean, tidy, and well presented. Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager. Work Hours and Benefits - Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week. - Paid between $24 to $27 per hour. Other requirements: Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience in customer service or retail environment. Valid Driver’s license. Reliable, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible to work shifts, including early starts, weekends, and public holidays. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. Hardworking with a positive and motivated attitude. Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour Work Location: In person
