This role oversees staff performance, guest service delivery, and sales execution while ensuring brand standards are consistently upheld. Working closely with the Estate Manager and other senior leaders, the Retail Operations Manager drives retail sales results, maintains operational efficiency, supports experience development, and ensures the tasting room environment reflects the high standards of the Two Sisters Vineyards brand. Responsibilities: Manage, train, and develop all retail staff through an ongoing training program, ensuring everyone is current on new releases, experiences, tours, and offerings, in coordination with the Estate Manager and Wine Director. Hire new staff in coordination with the Estate Manager. Oversee the quality of staff performance and hold team members accountable. Manage retail supervisors and staff, ensuring daily operational coverage. Conduct regular performance reviews of staff members. Motivate staff to be responsible, guest focused, and goal oriented in achieving sales targets. Conduct tastings as needed as an on-floor manager and host elevated or special event tastings when required. Maintain the Two Sisters Vineyards quality standard across all guest interactions. Ensure the tasting room and private tasting spaces are pristine, welcoming, and aligned with brand standards; ensure signage and guest materials remain current and up to date. Assist the Estate Manager and other Senior Leaders with ideation for tasting experiences, seasonal bundles based on inventory, tours, and additional programming. Responsible for striving to achieve all retail sales targets. Collaborate with Marketing to secure needed materials (signage, brochures, etc.) and stay aligned on ongoing initiatives for staff awareness. Collaborate with other managers, such as Wine Club and Events, on coordinated or shared programming and events. Maintain awareness of operating costs related to supplies and labor, ensuring adherence to budget. Maintain accurate reporting to understand costs, product SKUs, and inventory needs. Oversee inventory of all retail and wine-related products on property. Ensure effective measures are in place to prevent product loss, theft, and breakage. Be familiar with the POS system, including functionality, reporting, and daily troubleshooting as needed. Manage retail email communication and general correspondence. Coordinate with the concierge team on guest inquiries, reservations, and experience-related needs. Requirements: 3+ years of hospitality or retail management experience, preferably in a winery, luxury hospitality, or experiential environment. Proven leadership ability with experience managing, training, and developing staff. Strong sales orientation with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Excellent guest service skills and the ability to manage busy service environments with professionalism. Proficiency with POS systems and basic reporting tools; ability to interpret sales, cost, and inventory data. Knowledge of wine or willingness to complete wine training. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods as required. Compensation: Annual Salary $60,000/year plus commission and bonus incentives Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $60,000.00 per year Ability to commute/relocate: Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: Hospitality: 3 years (preferred) Wine Sales: 3 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
