# Retail Operations Manager **Bodycare Retail Ltd** · Sheffield · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role BUSINESS OVERVIEW Bodycare is an iconic British retailer being reimagined for a new era of high street retail. We’ve created a discovery-led health and beauty platform that combines trusted value with a social-first retail model, where beauty discovery, creator-led content and live commerce come together in every store. The result is a new kind of destination: part retail store, part content studio and part community hub. Our instore Live@Bodycare Studios enable continuous content creation and livestream selling. We believe discovery should be accessible, not exclusive. By combining great brands, exceptional value and engaging experiences, we’re helping more people discover products they’ll love while giving brands a more powerful way to connect with consumers. As we continue to expand our store estate, we are looking for an experienced Retail Operations Manager to help translate our vision into consistently high-performing stores, ensuring our people, technology and operating practices deliver an exceptional customer experience and strong commercial results. ROLE SUMMARY As Retail Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Retail Operations as Bodycare continues its ambitious expansion programme. With the Head of Retail Operations leading the rollout of new stores, your primary focus will be on supporting our existing estate, ensuring newly opened stores transition successfully into business-as-usual operations and continually improve their commercial and operational performance. This is a hands-on, UK field-based leadership role. You will travel across our growing UK store estate, so regular travel and overnight stays will be required, and a full UK driving licence is essential. You will spend significant time working alongside our Experience Managers and their teams, understanding the detail of store operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You will combine commercial insight, operational expertise and strong people leadership to help our stores reach their full potential, while supporting the development of a consistent, scalable operating model as the business grows. You will: - Drive commercial performance – Work closely with Experience Managers to understand store performance, challenge results and identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, conversion, average transaction value, productivity and cost control. - Embed operational excellence – Ensure stores operate efficiently and consistently, maintaining high standards of customer service, presentation, stock management, compliance and operational controls. - Support new stores beyond launch – Take an active role in transitioning newly opened stores into established operations, ensuring teams, systems and processes are embedded effectively and early trading challenges are addressed. - Coach and develop store leadership – Provide hands-on support, guidance and challenge to Experience Managers, strengthening their commercial understanding, operational capability and confidence in managing their teams. - Champion technology and innovation – Drive the effective adoption and use of Bodycare's evolving retail technology, ensuring store teams are trained, confident and maximising the opportunities technology creates for customers and the business. - Resolve operational challenges – Act as a key point of support for stores, working across the business to address issues including stock availability, deliveries, systems, facilities and other operational barriers. - Support people management and employee relations – Work alongside Experience Managers and HR to address people-related challenges, support performance management and identify training and development requirements. - Connect stores with the wider business – Build strong relationships across Finance, HR, Buying, Supply Chain, Technology and other central functions, ensuring store feedback is heard and operational issues are resolved at source. THE CANDIDATE We're looking for a confident, commercially minded retail leader who thrives on being close to the action. You will enjoy spending time in stores, working alongside teams and getting into the detail of what makes a store successful. You understand that great retail operations are about more than maintaining standards. They require strong commercial judgement, effective people leadership, a willingness to embrace technology and the ability to identify and resolve problems. You may already be an experienced Area Manager, Regional Manager or Retail Operations Manager looking for an opportunity to play a meaningful role in building and shaping a growing retail business. What matters most is your ability to improve performance, develop people, embrace change and turn operational challenges into practical solutions. You are: - Commercially astute and results-focused – You understand store profitability and the key drivers of retail performance. You're confident interpreting financial information, challenging results and identifying opportunities to improve revenue, margin and costs. - A hands-on operational leader – You believe the best way to understand a store is to spend time in it. You're comfortable getting into the detail, identifying what isn't working and taking ownership of finding solutions. - A strong coach and people leader – You know how to support, challenge and develop store leadership teams, building capability, confidence and accountability. - Digitally confident and forward-thinking – You embrace technology and recognise its potential to transform retail operations and customer experience. You can translate new systems and functionality into practical ways of working and help teams adopt them successfully. - An effective problem solver – You cut through complexity, identify root causes and focus on practical solutions. You're comfortable working across different business functions to get things done. - Customer-first in everything you do – You understand that operational excellence must translate into a better customer experience and stronger commercial results. - Operationally disciplined – You understand the importance of compliance, health and safety, stock control, people management and robust operating procedures in protecting both customers and the business. Above all, you're someone who leads from the front, takes ownership and combines commercial ambition with a practical, supportive approach. You will be excited by the opportunity to help shape how a new generation of Bodycare stores operates, contributing not just to the performance of individual stores but to the development of the wider business.
