By facilitating the movement of stock, you will support the Retail team and volunteers to raise money for hospice care across the local area. Working as part of the FNHC Retail team, you will respond to the needs of the Retail operation to help maximise profitability and support the smooth running of the shops. Responsibilities - · Collect, transport and deliver stock, equipment, other items and recycling between the Charity’s shops, Showroom, Online Sales and Head Office, working alone or with volunteers as required. - · Provide friendly, helpful and professional service when dealing with customers and donors. - · Help plan van routes so deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and cost-effectively. - · Promote Gift Aid during furniture collections and support eligible donors to sign up, helping raise additional income for the Charity. - · Always follow health and safety requirements, whether in the Showroom, at other Charity sites or on the road. Experience - · Be physically fit, as this role requires significant manual handling, lifting, loading and unloading of furniture, such as sofas and wardrobes, and other items. - · Be able to drive a Luton van. - · Have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with people of all abilities. - · Have experience of multi-drop deliveries. - · Have experience of route planning, including the ability to read maps and use a sat nav. - · Deal with situations professionally and with understanding. - · Have a helpful, enthusiastic and can-do attitude. - · Hold a full, clean driving licence. - Any offer of employment will be subject to completion of standard driver checks in line with FNHC’s Driver Policy. Pay: £10,743.51 per year Work Location: In person
