The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of restaurant service standards. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of waiters, waitresses, and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. - Welcome guests warmly, manage table assignments, and ensure prompt and attentive service throughout their dining experience. - Take customer orders accurately and ensure food and beverages are served according to the restaurant's quality and presentation standards. - Monitor staff performance, allocate duties, and ensure adherence to company policies, service procedures, and grooming standards. - Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction. - Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order preparation and efficient food service. - Monitor table setup, cleanliness, hygiene, and overall restaurant presentation before, during, and after service. - Assist the Restaurant Manager in staff training, shift planning, service briefings, and daily operational activities. - Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations. - Monitor stock levels of service items and report shortages or operational issues to management. - Support upselling initiatives by recommending menu items, promotions, and special offers to increase restaurant sales. - Ensure accurate order processing, billing, and coordination with the cashier when required. - Manage guest reservations, special occasions, and VIP requirements as needed. - Prepare shift reports and communicate customer feedback, staff concerns, and operational updates to management. - Ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism at all times. Requirements and Qualifications - Previous experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or in a similar restaurant supervisory role. - Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent customer service and communication abilities. - Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards and restaurant operations. - Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally. - Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, order processing, and billing procedures. - Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment and manage multiple priorities. - Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. - Good command of Arabic & English; additional languages are an advantage. Preferred Skills - Strong guest relations and interpersonal skills. - Excellent attention to detail and service quality. - Ability to motivate, train, and guide service staff. - Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to promote menu items and increase customer satisfaction. - Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a customer-first approach. What We Are Looking For A responsible, proactive, and service-oriented professional who can lead the restaurant floor, support the management team, and ensure every guest receives a consistently high standard of service.
