This is not a desk job. The Residential Operations Manager spends the majority of the workweek in the homes coaching employees, developing managers, solving problems, supporting staffing, and protecting agency operations. Primary Responsibilities: Supervise and develop House Managers. Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with each manager. Coach staff in real time and document observations. Review communication logs and provide visit summaries. Oversee HPC documentation quality, MARs/ TARs and monthly individual funds reconciliation. Ensure homes are clean, safe, well supplied, and engaging. Promote meaningful community and in-home activities (including opportunities such as JoAnn Fabrics sewing classes and Home Depot DIY workshops when available). Assist with emergency staffing, transportation, appointments, and on-call responsibilities. Participate as the primary on-call administrator with two scheduled weekends off from on-call each month. Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM Two weekend shifts per month (rotating 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). Qualifications: 2+ years in DD services Supervisory or House Manager experience preferred Strong coaching, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and 401(k). Professional Job Description Summary Purpose of the Position: The Residential Operations Manager develops leaders, protects agency operations, and improves the quality of life of the individuals served through coaching, visibility, accountability, and operational excellence. Leadership Pillars: 1. Lead People – Supervise House Managers, mentor leaders, coach DSPs, complete performance reviews, recognize excellence, and address performance concerns. 2. Protect Operations – Ensure staffing coverage, respond to emergencies, participate in on-call rotation, assist with physician appointments and emergency shift coverage when necessary. 3. Improve Quality of Life – Teach staff how to create meaningful, person-centered experiences inside and outside the home. 4. Ensure Operational Excellence – Review HPC documentation, communication logs, ISP implementation, monthly funds management, home cleanliness, food availability, safety, and follow-up. 5. Develop Great Homes – Maintain a visible leadership presence, build morale, reinforce professionalism, and strengthen residential culture. Leadership Expectations: Lead by example.
