# Resident Engineer – Data Center Delivery **Cloud 9 Networks** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Resident Engineer – Data Center Delivery Company: Cloud9 Networks Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary Cloud9 Networks is looking for an experienced Resident Engineer – Data Center Delivery to support and manage the implementation, migration, testing, commissioning, and handover of data center network and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches and routers, Cisco ACI Fabric, firewalls, load balancers, and data center structured cabling , along with strong coordination, troubleshooting, and project delivery skills. Key Responsibilities - Manage and support end-to-end implementation and migration activities for data center network and infrastructure projects. - Deploy and support Cisco switches, routers, Cisco ACI Fabric, firewalls, and load balancers . - Coordinate with network, security, data center operations, cabling, vendor, and project teams. - Participate in technical discussions, implementation planning, progress reviews, and site activities. - Manage migration activities including pre-checks, change approvals, implementation, service validation, and post-migration monitoring. - Prepare and maintain implementation schedules, MOPs, rollback plans, test plans, and as-built documentation. - Raise and coordinate change requests and other implementation-related requests with the relevant operations teams. - Coordinate data center access, DCCO, technical forms, and other site requirements. - Perform and coordinate testing, commissioning, service validation, operational acceptance, and final handover. - Troubleshoot network switches, ACI Fabric, firewalls, load balancers, and external connectivity issues. - Support data center network deployment activities including rack and stack, equipment installation, patching, labeling, and connectivity verification . - Coordinate fiber and copper structured cabling activities, including fiber trunks, patch panels, ODFs, SFPs, cable management, and testing. - Coordinate with vendors and third-party teams to ensure timely implementation and resolution of technical issues. - Monitor project progress, technical dependencies, risks, issues, and resource requirements. - Provide regular updates and reports to management and relevant stakeholders. - Ensure all activities comply with approved change management, security, data center, safety, and operational procedures . - Support critical implementation and migration windows and lead troubleshooting and escalation activities when required. Technical Requirements - Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, and data center networking . - Practical experience with Cisco ACI Fabric . - Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies. - Good understanding of VLAN, VRF, BGP, OSPF, STP, LACP, HSRP/VRRP, NAT, routing, switching, and IP addressing . - Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, FortiGate, or similar platforms . - Experience with load balancers such as F5, Citrix ADC, or equivalent . - Experience with fiber and copper data center cabling, patching, SFPs, and physical connectivity. - Knowledge of data center infrastructure including racks, PDU, UPS/DC systems, and cooling systems . - Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills. - Experience working on large-scale data center implementation, migration, and network transformation projects . - Good knowledge of physical servers, VMs, and platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, and OpenShift . Project & Coordination Skills - Strong experience in data center network and infrastructure project delivery. - Ability to coordinate multiple technical teams, vendors, and third-party contractors. - Strong understanding of technical dependencies, project risks, resources, and timelines. - Experience with high-availability and redundant network/security architectures. - Strong documentation and reporting skills. - Ability to work independently during critical implementation and migration windows. - Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple technical activities simultaneously. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of network automation and scripting is an advantage. - Experience with large-scale data center deployments and migrations. - Experience with high-availability network and security architectures. - Knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, VPN, and load-balancing concepts. - Experience managing vendors and third-party technical teams.
