The role focuses on formulation development, optimization, testing, qualification of new and alternative raw materials, and research on sustainable, innovative, and cost-effective materials and applications. The position also supports the development and qualification of new products and processes while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead formulation development, optimization, specification, costing, and endorsement to ensure materials meet required quality, performance, cost, and product specifications. Conduct evaluation and qualification of new and alternative raw materials, including quality analysis, material utilization, cost-saving initiatives, and support for regulatory certifications and product claims. Conduct research on sustainable materials, new-to-market materials and products, low-cost alternatives, and potential applications in collaboration with consultants, suppliers, research groups, and other R&D partners. Support the development, evaluation, and qualification of New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to improve product performance, quality, and cost competitiveness. Develop and lead plans and programs, set work plans and timelines, monitor execution, and deliver committed R&D results and project objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient R&D and interdepartmental processes, manage corrective actions, and support productivity and company programs such as SGA, QCC, RGC-PS, 7S, and ISO. Maintain accurate technical data, reports, and documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality and regulatory requirements, safety standards, work instructions, and other assigned R&D activities. Job Qualifications Graduate of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Packaging Science, or any related science course. Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant R&D experience in plastics , material development, formulation, or a related field.
