We provide care across non-emergency telehealth service lines including weight management, wellness, sexual health, hormone-related care, and other protocol-driven virtual care services. We are hiring experienced, multistate-licensed physicians who want consistent remote telemedicine work with a structured workflow, strong clinical support, and flexible scheduling. The Role This position includes a combination of scheduled telephone visits and asynchronous consultations. Patients are scheduled into 10-minute phone-visit slots, although many visits are completed more quickly. Between scheduled phone visits, providers can work from an open queue of asynchronous consultations. If a patient no-shows, providers are compensated according to the applicable no-show policy and may continue completing Async consultations until the next scheduled visit. Physicians can also complete Async consultations outside their scheduled phone availability. The Async portal is available 24/7, subject to available volume and state licensure. The number and type of consultations available to each physician depend heavily on the states in which the physician is licensed and current patient demand. Current Licensure Priorities We are particularly interested in physicians licensed in multiple states, including: Alabama Georgia Indiana Mississippi Missouri South Carolina Tennessee Additional valuable states include: Arkansas California Florida New Jersey New York North Carolina Ohio Pennsylvania Texas Virginia Wisconsin Candidates holding multiple licenses across the priority-state list will receive the highest consideration. Responsibilities Complete scheduled patient consultations by telephone. Review asynchronous patient consultations and determine treatment eligibility. Review patient intake forms, medical history, medications, contraindications, and relevant clinical information. Develop clinically appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe non-controlled medications when appropriate. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Identify contraindications and escalate clinical concerns when necessary. Follow Wasef Health and platform-specific clinical protocols. Respond to clinically relevant patient follow-up questions. Communicate professionally with patients and the clinical support team. Maintain reliable attendance during submitted scheduled availability. Complete Async consultations when desired and available. Schedule and Availability We are looking for physicians who can provide at least: 10 hours/week of scheduled phone-visit availability 20+ hours/week strongly preferred Scheduling is generally available from approximately: 7:00 AM to midnight Eastern, seven days per week Physicians submit their availability in advance and select the days and times that work best for them within the available scheduling window. Evening and weekend availability is particularly valuable. Providers may take time off as needed. We are seeking physicians who expect to remain consistently engaged and provide meaningful ongoing coverage. Compensation This is a 1099 independent-contractor position with per-consult compensation. Estimated effective earnings are approximately $200–$300/hour during active portal time , depending on: Provider efficiency Visit mix State licensure Scheduled availability Current consult volume Applicable volume and availability incentives Scheduled telephone consultations are compensated at a higher rate than asynchronous consultations. Patient no-shows are compensated according to the applicable no-show policy. Compensation is consult-based. Wasef Health does not guarantee a specific hourly income, appointment density, or consult volume. Clinical Services The majority of consultations involve GLP-1 medical weight management. Additional service lines may include: NAD Vitamin B12 Glutathione Sermorelin Sexual health Hormone-related care Other non-emergency wellness treatments No controlled substances are prescribed through this role. Required Qualifications MD or DO degree Active, unrestricted medical licenses in at least 10 states Licensure in multiple current priority states Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Prior telemedicine experience Comfortable conducting scheduled patient consultations by telephone Comfortable completing asynchronous chart reviews Ability to provide at least 10 hours/week of scheduled phone availability Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills Reliable internet access and a private, HIPAA-appropriate working environment Ability to use Slack and web-based clinical platforms Preferred Qualifications 15+ active state medical licenses 25+ licenses or near-national coverage Multiple licenses across AL, GA, IN, MS, MO, SC, and TN Prior high-volume telemedicine experience GLP-1 or medical weight-management experience Experience with both Sync and Async workflows Availability exceeding 20 hours/week Evening or weekend availability Training and Onboarding Providers complete a streamlined onboarding process that includes: Credentialing and license verification Clinical protocol training Platform and workflow training Documentation and prescribing guidance Scheduling-system setup Slack and clinical-support access Training generally takes approximately two hours. Activation timing depends on credentialing, license verification, and completion of onboarding requirements.
