About The Role
Comfort Homecare provides compassionate, high-quality care to people in their own homes. We are
looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead a portfolio of branches and make sure every client
receives safe, person-centred care, delivered to the hours they are assessed for.
You will hold Branch Managers accountable for their branch results while giving them the direction,
coaching and support to succeed. Branch Managers own local service delivery; you lead, support,
challenge and coordinate across the region, and turn national priorities into clear regional action.
Key Responsibilities
Quality, safety and compliance
Make sure care is delivered in line with care plans, company policy, HSE tender requirements
and the HIQA National Standards for Home Support. Work closely with our compliance and
quality director team.
Lead the region's readiness for HIQA registration and inspection in conjunction with our
compliance team, with clear evidence of governance, audits and actions.
Act as regional safeguarding lead under the HSE Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons policy and
Children First.
Oversee incidents, complaints and corrective actions, making sure each is owned, time-bound
and closed out with learning.
Financial performance and growth
Manage the regional budget: revenue, delivered hours, overtime, mileage, agency spend, gross
margin and branch contribution.
Challenge adverse performance and agree recovery plans with clear owners and measures.
Grow the region through private clients and new HSE packages in line with strategic growth
plans.
Maintain a regional report and report weekly and monthly to the General Manager.
Branch leadership and people
Lead, coach and develop Branch Managers so they operate independently and confidently.
Oversee day-to-day operations across the region and run a disciplined performance rhythm on
KPIs, quality standards, workforce and clients.
Handle escalated complaints, HR issues and staff development initiatives.
Work with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, retention and absence.
Monitor mandatory training in collaboration with our Learning and Development manager, and
build a culture where care staff feel valued.
Service delivery
Monitor contracted versus delivered hours, fill rate, missed visits and continuity of care.
Work with National Scheduling and Branch Managers to make the best use of care capacity and
manage new initiative start-ups.
Collaborate with Recruitment to make sure there is capacity for new care packages.
Monitor the Branch Managers and assist them to build strong relationships with the HSE, Home
Support Offices, Public Health Nurses, GPs, hospitals and families.
