Recruiter/HR Generalist
About the Role We're looking for a Recruiter who wants to grow into a broader HR role. You'll start by owning full-cycle recruiting for our design, technical, and administrative teams, while progressively taking on other HR functions — onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and culture initiatives. This is a great fit for someone early-to-mid career who wants breadth over narrow specialization. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Recruiting (Primary Focus) Manage full-cycle recruitment for roles including architects, designers, project managers, and support staff Write and post job descriptions; source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, university partnerships, and industry networks Screen resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and coordinate interview panels with hiring managers Track pipeline and candidate status in the ATS; maintain clear communication with candidates throughout the process Extend offers and support negotiation conversations Build relationships with architecture schools and industry associations for early talent pipelines Onboarding & Employee Experience (growth area) Coordinate new hire onboarding, paperwork, and first-week orientation Help develop and refine onboarding materials for design-specific roles HR Generalist Functions (growth area) Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment Support performance review cycles and documentation Help maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment law Field basic employee relations questions and escalate as needed Assist with HR policy development and employee handbook updates Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience 2 - 4 years of recruiting or HR experience (agency, in-house, or a mix) Interest in expanding into broader HR/People Ops work Strong communication skills; comfortable working directly with designers, architects, and leadership Familiarity with ATS platforms Bonus: prior experience recruiting for AEC (architecture/engineering/construction) or other creative/technical industries High level of discretion and confidentiality Work Location: In person
