Our teams support zero-waste initiatives by sorting waste to divert recyclables and compostables from landfills, helping venues meet their sustainability goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment. The Role The Lead Recruiter plays a key role in ensuring CR Sustainability has the workforce needed to support venue and event operations nationwide. This position is responsible for: Recruiting & Onboarding: Lead high-volume field recruiting, manage candidate pipelines and onboarding, and build scalable recruiting processes and metrics. HR Administration: Manage staffing agency administration, including temporary labor tracking, client billing support, invoice reconciliation, temp-to-hire conversions, and agency communication. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing long-term recruiting priorities with time-sensitive daily administrative responsibilities. Duties - Recruiting & Onboarding: Lead recruiting efforts for field positions across multiple venues and states, with a primary focus on high-volume hiring for event and venue operations. Design and implement recruiting systems that allow CR Sustainability to scale hiring across multiple markets and large staffing events. Build and maintain recruiting pipelines for field positions to ensure consistent candidate flow ahead of operational staffing needs. Develop and maintain recruiting dashboards and tracking tools to monitor hiring activity and workforce readiness. Establish and track key recruiting metrics including Time to Fill, Time to Hire, Cost per Hire, Source of Hire, Applicant Conversion Rate, Offer Acceptance Rate, New Hire Show Rate, and 30-Day Retention. Analyze recruiting data and hiring trends to identify pipeline gaps, staffing risks, or process inefficiencies. Partner with operations leadership to forecast staffing needs for upcoming events, new venues, and ongoing service operations. Post and maintain job advertisements across recruiting platforms and ensure job postings remain accurate, competitive, and aligned with operational needs. Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, availability, and suitability for field roles. Coordinate interviews with site supervisors and hiring managers while ensuring efficient movement of candidates through the hiring pipeline. Manage large-scale recruiting efforts associated with new venue launches, major events, or seasonal staffing increases. Develop standardized recruiting processes and tools that support consistent hiring practices across locations. Initiate onboarding documentation and monitor completion through digital onboarding systems such as DocuSign. Submit and track background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment requirements where applicable. Process and manage E-Verify cases where required and ensure employment eligibility documentation is completed accurately. Coordinate closely with operations teams to confirm start dates, assignments, and readiness for new hires prior to their first shift. Enter new employee information into payroll and HR systems and ensure all employee records are accurate and compliant. Maintain organized employee documentation and ensure records are complete and audit-ready. Communicate clearly with candidates, supervisors, and internal teams regarding hiring status, onboarding progress, and staffing updates. Leverage AI resources/software to increase efficiencies, streamline processes and maximize existing resources. Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes as the organization grows. Duties - HR Administration / Staffing Agency Management Serve as the primary HR administrative point of contact for temporary staffing agencies supporting CR Sustainability's venue operations. Support Operations in identifying and establishing relationships with staffing agencies as temporary labor needs arise. Coordinate temporary staffing requests with agency partners based on staffing needs communicated by Operations. Maintain accurate daily records of temporary employees who report to each site, including the agency, employee name, hours worked, and other information required for labor tracking and client billing. Review field-reported temporary labor activity following each event or shift and promptly enter verified hours into the company's staffing tracker so Operations has the information needed to complete next-day client billing. Reconcile staffing agency invoices against internal attendance and hours-worked records to identify discrepancies, duplicate charges, incorrect hours, or other billing issues. Research and challenge invoice discrepancies with staffing agencies and coordinate corrections before invoices are approved for payment. Maintain organized documentation supporting temporary labor usage, hours worked, agency invoices, billing discrepancies, and resolutions. Track temporary employees who may be considered for direct employment, including agency conversion requirements, required hours, waiting periods, conversion fees, and the earliest date an employee may be hired directly. Proactively identify when preferred temporary employees are approaching or have satisfied conversion requirements and communicate those opportunities to HR and Operations. Partner with field supervisors to maintain current information regarding temporary employee performance and site eligibility, including identifying preferred temporary employees and individuals who should no longer be assigned to a CR Sustainability location. Communicate assignment restrictions, performance concerns, preferred-worker requests, and other relevant staffing updates to agency partners promptly. Maintain staffing agency contact information, contractual terms, conversion requirements, and other key agency information in an organized and accessible format. Assist with evaluating staffing agency performance, including worker quality, fulfillment rates, responsiveness, billing accuracy, and recurring operational concerns. Identify opportunities to improve temporary staffing processes, controls, documentation, and communication between HR, Operations, Finance, and staffing agency partners. The Ideal Candidate: 4+ years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, or HR coordination (multi-site or high-volume preferred). Experience recruiting for working-class or blue-collar environments strongly preferred and highly prioritized. Experience coordinating temporary labor or working with staffing agencies strongly preferred and highly prioritized. Spanish fluency required Associate degree required Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reconciling records, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate workforce data. Ability to prioritize time-sensitive daily responsibilities while simultaneously managing longer-term recruiting projects. Experience using onboarding or HRIS systems (ADP, Rippling, BBSI, or similar). Familiarity with background checks, E-Verify, and employment eligibility compliance. Effective communicator with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in-office from 8:00am - 5:00pm CT, Monday- Friday. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
