Responsibilities & Requirements Recruit qualified OTR and Local CDL-A drivers through job boards, social media, referrals, and direct outreach. Communicate with applicants quickly and consistently from first contact through hire. Pre-screen drivers based on experience, driving history, employment history, and company requirements.Run and review MVR and required driver background/qualification checks. Coordinate DOT pre-employment drug testing and ensure required documents are completed before dispatch. Schedule and conduct in-person driver orientation at our Orlando office and complete onboarding quickly. Meet arriving drivers personally and help them through the entire onboarding process. Coordinate Uber/Lyft or other transportation for approved drivers when necessary. Assist drivers with applications, paperwork, ELD setup, company policies, and required documents. Coordinate with Safety, Fleet, Dispatch, and Accounting to make sure new drivers are completely ready before being assigned a truck. Maintain communication with drivers after orientation and help resolve initial onboarding issues. Keep accurate recruiting records and provide updates on applicants, hires, rejections, and orientation status. Ideal Candidate: 2+ years of CDL driver recruiting/onboarding experience preferred. Must understand the trucking industry, be comfortable dealing directly with drivers, work quickly, be organized, and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
