Reconstruction Project Manager
The Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the reconstruction of properties damaged by water, fire or other disasters. This role involves coordinating with policyholders, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient project completion while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction. The Reconstruction Project Manager will run insurance rebuild jobs from scope through final payment. You’ll turn documented losses into priced estimates, coordinate trades, protect job margin, and keep homeowners and carriers aligned through the rebuild process. Reconstruction Project Manager Responsibilities Own reconstruction projects end-to-end after mitigation: scope, estimate, schedule, rebuild, and closeout Build and defend Xactimate estimates; negotiate scope with adjusters and manage supplements when conditions change Document the loss thoroughly (property scans, photos, notes, code citations) so scope negotiations are evidence-based Job-cost each file — track actual vs. estimated margin at milestones, not just at closeout Vet, schedule, and manage subcontractors across trades; keep daily field logs and timelines current Explain ACV, RCV, depreciation, and deductibles in plain language for homeowners Set clear expectations on timelines, change orders, and selections; de-escalate when clients are under stress Coordinate with mitigation, sales, and admin so the claim moves cleanly from first notice of loss to final payment Familiarity with mitigation project management, and the ability to take on mitigation jobs prior to reconstruction as needed What we’re looking for Experience in restoration project management, reconstruction, or insurance claims project management Experience with Xactimate and estimating Strong written documentation and adjuster/carrier communication skills Ability to manage multiple jobs, subs, and timelines without dropping margin or customer experience; conduct site visits and be in the field daily Empathy and professionalism working with homeowners facing property loss Willingness to work hard and be a team player Organizational skills to run multiple jobs at once Valid driver’s license, clear background check Bonus: IICRC or similar credentials; prior restoration franchise or TPA/network experience Pay: $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Experience: reconstruction project management: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Sudbury, MA 01776 (Required) Work Location: In person
