Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract Management · Quantity Take-Offs: Measure and quantify M&E materials and systems accurately from schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings. · Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and pre-tender budgets for M&E services (including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing). · Tender Administration: Prepare tender documentation, invite bids, analyze contractor submissions, and provide commercial recommendations. Post-Contract Administration · Cost Control & Forecasting: Monitor project expenditures against budgets, manage cash flow, and prepare regular financial report updates. · Progress Valuations: Review, verify, and certify subcontractor interim payment applications and progress claims based on actual site work. · Variation Orders (VOs): Identify, quantify, evaluate, and negotiate cost impacts resulting from design changes or site instructions. · Final Accounts: Negotiate and settle final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Technical & Commercial Support · Value Engineering: Identify and propose cost-effective material alternatives or installation methods without compromising project quality or function. · Contractual Compliance: Advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies related to M&E works. · Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate closely with project managers, M&E engineers, clients, consultants, and suppliers to resolve commercial issues. Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience · Degree or Diploma: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. · Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong focus on M&E/MEP trades. Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
