This role focuses on analyzing freight markets, vessel supply and demand dynamics, and trade flows, while leveraging programming skills to build models, automate processes, and extract insights from large datasets. With expertise in tools such as Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms, the analyst develops pricing models, voyage optimization tools, and risk assessment frameworks. This enables more accurate forecasting, improved chartering strategies, and better alignment between cargo exposure and fleet positioning. By integrating traditional shipping knowledge with quantitative analysis, the role supports commercial teams in identifying arbitrage opportunities, evaluating asset values, and managing market volatility. Additionally, the analyst contributes to building scalable systems and dashboards that improve transparency, efficiency, and strategic planning across the organization. Job Requirements – Quantitative Researcher (1–2 Years Experience) 1–2 years of experience in shipping, commodities, trading, or a data/analytics-related role (internships included). Basic understanding of dry bulk shipping markets, including vessel classes (Handy, Ultramax, Kamsarmax, etc.), trade routes, and freight dynamics. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or SQL, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and strong Excel skills. Ability to build and maintain simple analytical models for pricing, forecasting, and performance tracking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks. Interest in combining commercial shipping knowledge with quantitative and data-driven methodologies. Good communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, market-driven environment. Enesel Bulk Logistics Pte Ltd was established in October 2023 and is headquartered in Dubai under Enesel Bulk Logistics DMCC (“Enesel Bulk”), which was established in October 2021. Enesel Bulk is a dry bulk operator and logistics company catering to the wide-ranging requests of its clients (global trading houses, miners, niche traders and receivers) to the highest quality standards. Presently on the water with EBL ( TCT & PERIOD) are around 30-40 Dry Bulk Vessels ranging from Handy – to Cape that serve our customers around the world. Our regular clients are as follow: Glencore / ADNOC / Tshipi Minerals / Arxo Minerals Ore and Metal / Emirates Global Aluminium / TELF AG / Bulk Trading / CHS / Ameropa / Traxys / JSW / Vale / Pressmetal / Raffles Shipping. We are specialized in parcelling all types of cargo combinations with a focus on steel products / ferro chrome-chrome ore / manganese ore. For this year alone we have executed 60 parcelling shipments so far and our commercial team has been active in parcelling for over 40years combined. This enables EBL to have the experience and knowledge that would allow us to serve CSN to the highest possible standard in all aspects. Our Operations team is managed by seagoing experienced Masters only which gives us the advantages to perform complex stowage requests involving ports across the world on all different vessel types.
