Quality Manager For An ISO17025 Calibration Lab

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) for our ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory in Sharjah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laboratory and company operations consistently meet international quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Total Quality Management: Direct, implement, and manage the company’s complete quality requirements across all laboratory operations.
• ISO Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to and continuous compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 (Calibration and Testing) and ISO/IEC 17020 (Inspection) standards.
• Documentation Control: Develop, update, and maintain all QMS documentation, including quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and work instructions.
• Audit Management: Plan and lead internal audits, and act as the primary liaison for external audits and accreditation assessments.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify non-conformances, implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and drive ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
• Training & Leadership: Ensure all laboratory personnel are trained on quality protocols and remain up-to-date with the latest ISO standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific, engineering, or technical discipline.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in quality management, specifically within an ISO 17025 calibration or testing laboratory environment.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English communication skills (both written and verbal) are mandatory for drafting quality documentation and managing audits. Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred and considered a strong advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 guidelines, accreditation processes, and laboratory quality control methodologies.
