Reporting to the Team Leader you will be responsible for inspecting and testing of products to specifications prior to final dispatch to the customer. Any issues or non-conformance to standards / specifications would be escalated to the Senior Quality Engineer for review and resolution. Key Responsibilities: As part of your key responsibilities, you’ll: Complete quality and functional testing on Rail and Traffic products prior to despatch Test products in accordance to established quality procedures Complete Goods In quality inspections on supplied products ensuring compliance to drawings and specifications Accurately record all Quality Control test results Actively participate in the department supporting continual improvement Liaison with operational team members, warehouse and Production Team Leaders ensuring that appropriate inspection and testing is undertaken and technical documentation is controlled. About you: We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role! Can read and interpret technical drawings GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent Grade A-C) High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good level of computer literacy Competent in using measuring and test equipment Strong communication and organisational skills An HNC in Mechanical /Electrical / QA Engineering would be highly desirable About Unipart We are a supply chain performance improvement partner.
