The position is responsible for quality issue resolution, customer claim handling, in-process defect reduction, failure cost analysis and improvement, process capability, quality control planning, and continuous improvement. The role works closely with Production, Engineering, suppliers, customers, and other cross functional teams to ensure product quality, process stability, efficiency, and compliance with applicable quality and safety standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate and manage quality issues, including customer claims, using established guidelines, procedures, and company policies. Lead the investigation and analysis of customer claims and prepare investigation reports and customer claim feedback using appropriate problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and PDCA, to identify root causes and establish corrective and preventive actions. Own and lead in-process defect reduction activities and Failure Cost Analysis and Improvement initiatives. Monitor and control quality-related KPIs, including but not limited to in-process defects and raw material and product losses, and prepare reports for submission to the Department Head. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives involving automation, cost reduction, process optimization, efficiency improvement, and safety, and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of such initiatives. Monitor assigned quality improvement KPIs and ensure that improvement activities are implemented and sustained. Coordinate with all relevant departments and sections to facilitate the resolution of quality issues and implementation of quality improvements. Collaborate with section heads, supervisors, officers, and other responsible personnel to develop and implement quality controls and improvement measures. Coordinate and report to the Department Head on customer and supplier quality-related matters, including guaranteed lots, assured lots, dangerous lots, and failure cost concerns. Coordinate with customers and suppliers, as necessary, regarding quality issues, investigation results, corrective actions, and improvement activities. Develop and maintain product specifications and quality requirements for production activities. Maintain process capability and continuously improve applicable quality standards and controls. Interpret engineering drawings and provide technical solutions and guidance for QA measurements and inspections. Provide timely technical analysis and recommendations for both internal and external quality issues. Prepare, review, and maintain quality-related documents, including Control Plans, Quality Inspection Plans, PFMEA, Work Instructions (WI), and other applicable quality documents. Monitor the proper implementation of established quality controls and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems, company policies, procedures, and standards. Support internal and external audits and other quality-related activities. Prepare and maintain accurate quality analysis, investigation, improvement, KPI, and other required reports and documentation. Present quality findings, analysis, progress, and recommendations to the Department Head and other concerned management personnel. Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and must be a duly registered Engineer in the Philippines, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. At least three (3) years of relevant technical experience in manufacturing; experience in Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) manufacturing is highly preferred. Technical knowledge of root cause analysis, quality control tools and methodologies, and new product development. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011 Internal Auditing. Good knowledge and command of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other key quality and process engineering disciplines, including Control Plan, FMEA, and Time and Motion Study. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, suppliers, co-workers, and cross functional sections, both verbally and in writing. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and coordinate with relevant personnel and cross-functional activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a time-conscious and effective manner and meet established deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data preparation, reporting, analysis, and presentation. Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and coordinate with multiple functions to resolve quality issues and achieve improvement objectives. Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php27,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
