LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield) ABOUT US: MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre. Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly. Reporting to the Quality, Health and Safety Manager, we are looking for a resilient Quality Engineer to join this vital team. You will lead quality-related improvements through quality improvement initiatives and the non-conformance system. Your responsibilities will include identifying root causes of quality issues, working collaboratively with the production team to implement corrective actions, and establishing an effective audit program within the manufacturing facility. ABOUT THE ROLE: · Review of ISIR and FAIR reports prior to submission · First point of contact for Customer quality concerns · Support with investigations as required, for internal and external complaints and help to implement CAPA measures · Compilation and submission of PPAP/FAI documents, as requested by customers · Provide hands on inspection support as required (Absence/ Workload) · Review and approval of concessions prior to submission to customers · Where required, conduct and lead 8D investigation reports issued by QHSE Manager · Where required, provide support to development of process controls for specific processes and/or customer requirements · Where required, raise NCR’s against suppliers and follow up to ensure effective CAPA are implemented ABOUT YOU: · Recent / relevant experience in a similar Quality role within metal fabrication / engineering · Demonstrable understanding of quality management principles, methodologies and core tools · Precision in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents · Highly motivated, proactive, team-orientated and outcomes driven · A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels · Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others WHAT WE OFFER: · Annual profit share bonus · 33 days holiday (including statutory Public Holidays) · Secure onsite free parking · £13.00 a month drink allowance to be used at the shop floor vending machines. · Life Assurance plan (Death in Service) · Employee Prize Draw · Company pension plan. · Reduced Costco membership · Reduced gym membership with Pure Gym and the Gym Group. · Healthcare Plan – with access to 24/7 GP service and 24/7 confidential advice line for support and advice on medical, legal and domestic issues. · Colleague Referral Programme: we pay you £1000 for successfully referring people to join our team WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday · Monday – Thursday 0800-1700 · Friday 0800-1600 (Finish every other Friday) We know that our people are the most important asset to MTL Advanced, and we are looking for skilled, passionate and driven professionals to work with our inspirational leaders, promote our culture and enable change.
