Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our busy and friendly manufacturing team at our factory in South Normanton . This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing company with a strong future. Full training will be provided to the right candidate. OVERVIEW The Quality Control Supervisor ensures all chairs meet the highest quality standards before being dispatched to customers. This role involves supervising the quality control process, maintaining efficiency, and addressing any production issues to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence. The Quality Control Supervisor reports directly to the Factory Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Maintain organisation and cleanliness in the Quality Control (QC) area. · Rectify issues with furniture by taking back to relevant departments. · Inspect and test chairs to ensure quality standards are met. · Label chairs and process them through the computer system to maintain workflow. · Attach cushions, trim, and perform finishing tasks on chairs. · Identify and resolve quality issues during testing. · Log dispatched chairs, including recording SP numbers. · Prioritise urgent tasks and delegate them to appropriate teams across the factory. · Participate in weekly meetings and address any issues raised. · Assist with fabric repairs, re-cuts, cushion filling, QC, and bagging when necessary. · Restock foam and fibres for the department. · Upload quality photographs to the relevant files. · Check and restock departmental components/commodities; liaise with the purchasing department to complete order forms. · Ensure final quality control sign-offs and second sign offs. · Act as the point of contact for issue resolution and provide cover when required. · Organise departmental activities and staff schedules. · Be flexible and support other areas of the factory when required. · Ensure daily performance logs are recorded by all staff in the QC department and targets are met. · To delegate service items and parts ensuring these are quality checked and packaged in time with relevant paperwork (tickets) filled out, completed and returned back to the office/ customer service department (if required). · To sort out any corrections on tickets or labels by requesting amended paperwork from the office staff. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: · Strong communication skills. · In-depth knowledge of the product range. · Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. · Ability to work effectively under pressure.
