In this growing and exciting industry, there are many opportunities to progress and make an impact both inside and outside of the business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Quality Assurance team, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and business process management, and driving continuous improvement throughout our organization. We are looking for an individual who is strong-minded and ready to bring their mark on quality and the highest standards of operations to the fore in all aspects of our manufacturing and distribution processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Management System development: - Continuously develop the Joule Ireland Quality Management System. - Support Quality Manager in maintaining quality procedures and ensuring that relevant standards and specifications for products and components are available and utilised. 2. Process Improvement: - Support Quality Manager in documentation for policies and procedures (including SOPs/Work Instructions), proposing changes and improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. - Support Quality team in identifying areas and processes for improvement and implement measures to enhance overall quality. 3. Stakeholder Collaboration and Management: - Collaborate with managers and staff, assisting them with the tools and techniques necessary to meet and exceed quality standards. - Drive and influence innovation of processes across the entirety of the business. - Collaborate with external stakeholders, including sub-suppliers, to ensure a seamless flow of quality processes. - Support Quality Manager in internal and external QMS audits and closing the Non-Conformance reports in time. - Work together with Research & Development and Supply Chain to validate New Product Introduction suppliers. 4. Standards and Compliance: - Maintain high standards for both product and service quality and be a role model for health and safety within the organization. - Utilize proven methodologies such as root cause analysis, process improvements like Lean to enhance overall quality systems. - Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 standards is desirable. 5. Documentation Management: - Maintain and update documents related to the Joule Ireland Quality Management System. 6. Mindset and Aptitude - A learning mindset is essential for being able to learn to the new products, processes and system. - The ideal candidate should demonstrate a continuous improvement attitude, proactively seeking knowledge and refining skills to enhance product quality. Qualifications and Experience: - A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, production engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience and skills will also be considered. - Experience, of 2-3 years is minimum, in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of developing and implementing process changes in a growing business environment. - Fundamental knowledge of implementing and maintaining quality systems and methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001. - Basic level understanding in analytical reporting based on data, quality observations, and root cause methodologies. - Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as Microsoft Dynamics (Navision), SAP, or equivalent.
