About the Job We are currently looking for someone to join our Quality Control team. In this position you can expect to perform a the following duties: - Work with all production teams conducting real-time quality checks throughout the production process to maintain quality and consistent results. - Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing of incoming materials and internally produced products to verify compliance with specifications. - Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies; document findings and report issues to supervisors and QA. - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, checklists, and related documentation. - Accept or reject products and materials based on established quality standards and document inspection results. - Review and verify documentation and data for accuracy, completeness, and quality. - Monitor production processes and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards and recommend improvements where needed. - Respond to Yellow Alerts and production quality issues; investigate defects, identify root causes, and assist with problem-solving and corrective actions. - Coordinate quality issues with supervisors, production staff, and the QA team and provide daily updates on production issues and special projects. - Conduct internal audits and support audit planning, scheduling, reporting, and follow-up activities. - Perform quarterly third-party certification inspections, including Intertek inspections. - Calibrate, inspect, and maintain records for inspection and testing equipment, including calipers, scales, dielectric testers, and flow meters. - Maintain accurate quality records, including assessments of accepted and rejected products, inspection results, and audit findings. - Monitor the Quarantine Board and Production Calendars to ensure required inspections and audits are completed on schedule. - Follow standard operating procedures and assist production staff with quality-related procedures as required. - Participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Skills - Attention to Detail: Meticulous examination to catch minor defects. - Technical Knowledge: Understanding of product specifications and, for some roles, specialized knowledge in textiles, mechanics, or electronics. - Communication: Clearly reporting issues to production teams. - Problem-Solving: Identifying the cause of defects and suggesting solutions.
