We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience working within Quality in a manufacturing environment who is ready to take on greater responsibility. This is a people-facing role with regular contact across customers, suppliers, Production, Engineering and management , so strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers are essential. Previous electronics manufacturing experience is not essential , although it would be an advantage. Training will be provided, alongside support from an external ISO consultant and a structured handover from an existing member of staff. This is not a purely desk-based role . We want someone who is comfortable spending time on the production floor, speaking with employees, understanding how work is carried out and helping ensure quality systems are followed in practice. What you'll be doing Responsibilities will include: Supporting and maintaining our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Carrying out internal audits and following actions through to completion. Supporting external ISO and customer audits. Managing non-conformances and corrective actions. Investigating customer complaints and product returns. Communicating with customers regarding quality issues and investigations. Supporting root-cause investigations and 8D reports. Raising and following up supplier quality issues. Maintaining quality documentation and records. Monitoring quality KPIs including rejects, rework, scrap and complaints. Maintaining calibration records and organising routine equipment maintenance. Auditing areas such as traceability, ESD, workmanship and record keeping. Supporting IPC workmanship standards and quality-related training records. Helping maintain Health & Safety and fire safety compliance records and actions. As your knowledge and confidence develop, we would expect you to take increasing ownership of the Quality Management System and wider compliance activities. What we're looking for Previous experience within a manufacturing Quality function is essential. The role could suit someone currently working as a: Quality Technician Quality Coordinator Quality Supervisor Assistant Quality Manager Quality Engineer working primarily within Quality Assurance We are looking for someone with: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers. Experience with manufacturing quality systems and quality documentation. A logical and methodical approach to problem solving. Excellent attention to detail. Confidence carrying out audits and challenging issues where necessary. A willingness to spend time on the production floor. Good written and computer skills. The ability to follow actions through to completion. Experience with ISO 9001, customer complaints, non-conformances, root-cause investigation or 8D reporting would be particularly useful. Training and development Training will be provided in electronics assembly, soldering, IPC workmanship standards, inspection, testing and traceability. You do not need to arrive with electronics experience, but you should already have a solid grounding in manufacturing quality and be comfortable dealing professionally with customers and colleagues.
