# Quality check **MYSCAAI** · Bangalore City, Bengaluru, Karnataka · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 2 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary We are looking for a Quality Checker / QA-QC Engineer to ensure that all construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements . The candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections, identifying quality issues, maintaining inspection records, coordinating with Site Engineers and contractors, and ensuring timely rectification of defects. Key Responsibilities1. Site Quality Inspection Conduct regular quality inspections at construction sites. Check ongoing work against approved drawings and specifications. Inspect civil, structural, finishing, and other construction activities. Identify workmanship defects and deviations at an early stage. Ensure corrective actions are completed before proceeding to the next activity. 2. RCC & Structural Quality Check and monitor: Reinforcement diameter and spacing Bar bending and placement Lap length and development length Cover blocks and concrete cover Shuttering/formwork alignment and level Column, beam and slab dimensions Concrete grade and mix requirements Slump test Cube testing Concrete pouring and vibration Curing practices Honeycombing and other concrete defects 3. Masonry & Plastering Quality Check brick/block quality and alignment. Check wall thickness, line, level and plumb. Verify mortar mix and joint thickness. Inspect plaster thickness and surface finish. Check curing and finishing quality. Ensure proper treatment of cracks and defects. 4. Waterproofing & Finishing Quality Inspect: Toilet waterproofing Terrace waterproofing Balcony waterproofing Kitchen/wet-area waterproofing Plumbing-related waterproofing Tile installation Flooring Doors and windows Painting False ceiling Internal and external finishing Ensure all finishing works meet the required quality standards before handover. 5. Material Quality Inspection Inspect incoming construction materials. Verify materials against approved specifications. Check cement, steel, concrete, blocks, tiles, waterproofing materials, paint and other materials. Ensure rejected/damaged materials are not used. Maintain material inspection records. 6. Contractor & Vendor Quality Monitoring Monitor contractor/vendor workmanship. Communicate quality requirements before work begins. Conduct inspections during execution. Issue observations for defective or non-compliant work. Follow up until the defects are rectified. Maintain a record of repeated quality issues. 7. Quality Documentation Maintain proper records of: Daily Quality Inspection Reports Site Inspection Checklists Material Inspection Reports Concrete/RMC Reports Slump Test Reports Cube Test Reports Quality Observation Reports Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), where applicable Rectification Reports Site Photographs Snag/Punch Lists Final Quality Inspection Reports 8. Daily Quality Checklist Prepare activity-wise quality checklists. Conduct inspections based on the checklist. Record Pass / Fail / Rectification Required . Ensure all failed items are rectified and rechecked. Maintain site-wise quality records. 9. Coordination With Project Team Coordinate closely with: Project Manager Assistant Project Manager Site Engineers Architects Structural Consultants Contractors Vendors Procurement/Stores Team Report critical quality issues immediately to the Project Manager. 10. Pre-Execution Quality Checks Before any major activity starts: Review the approved drawing. Verify required materials. Check manpower and workmanship requirements. Confirm measurements and levels. Ensure previous-stage work has been approved. Communicate quality requirements to the Site Engineer/vendor. 11. Final Inspection & Handover Conduct final inspections before handover. Prepare snag/punch lists. Coordinate with the Site Engineer and contractor for rectification. Reinspect completed rectifications. Ensure all quality issues are closed before final handover. Daily Responsibilities The Quality Checker is expected to: Visit assigned sites. Inspect ongoing construction activities. Verify work against drawings and specifications. Identify quality deviations. Record observations with photographs. Inform the concerned Site Engineer. Follow up on rectification. Reinspect completed work. Update the quality checklist. Submit the daily quality report. Required Qualifications Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. 2–6 years of experience in construction quality control. Experience in residential construction will be preferred. Good understanding of civil construction and finishing activities. Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications. Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
