(RPM)** · San Jose, CA 95131 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing / Precision Manufacturing Department: Quality Schedule: Monday–Friday Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist to join our semiconductor equipment manufacturing team. The QA/QC Specialist will be responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. This position will also support quality documentation, non-conformance management, corrective actions, supplier quality, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate has experience in precision machining, semiconductor equipment, or high-precision manufacturing and is comfortable working with engineering drawings, inspection equipment, and quality documentation. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts, fabricated components, assemblies, and purchased materials. Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements . Use inspection and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, surface roughness testers, optical measurement systems, and CMM equipment , as applicable. Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, surface finish requirements, and inspection criteria . Verify material certifications, inspection reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and other supplier quality documentation. Document inspection results accurately and maintain complete, traceable quality records. Identify, document, and control non-conforming materials and products . Generate and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate disposition with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other departments. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal, supplier, and customer quality issues. Support supplier quality activities, including communicating quality issues, reviewing corrective actions, and monitoring supplier performance. Work closely with Production and Engineering to resolve dimensional, workmanship, documentation, and manufacturing quality issues. Support customer quality requirements and assist with customer complaints, returns, and corrective action requests when necessary. Ensure inspection tools and measurement equipment are properly maintained and within calibration. Assist with maintaining and improving quality procedures, inspection instructions, forms, and work instructions. Support internal and external quality audits as required. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects, rework, scrap, and recurring quality issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inspection/work area. Perform other quality-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field is preferred. 2+ years of QA/QC or inspection experience in semiconductor equipment, precision machining, aerospace, medical device, or another high-precision manufacturing environment preferred. Experience inspecting CNC machined components and precision mechanical parts is highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T . Hands-on experience using precision measurement and inspection tools. Understanding of quality inspection processes, NCRs, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and document control . Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred. Experience with CMM inspection is a plus. Knowledge of semiconductor equipment manufacturing requirements, cleanliness standards, surface finish requirements, and precision components is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer systems. Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate quality concerns professionally with suppliers, customers, engineers, and production personnel. Ability to prioritize multiple inspections and quality issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Management.
