Alexa Global Quality is looking for a experienced Customer Obsessed Quality Assurance Engineer who is able to innovate, design and deliver quality campaigns for Alexa customers around the world. Our team works backward from our international customers across the globe to create authentically-native, delightful Alexa features in their language Key job responsibilities - Create and execute test plans and test cases (automated vs manual) across product components and features, applying core testing techniques such as equivalence class partitioning, boundary value analysis, and state transition testing to ensure thorough coverage. - Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl to reduce manual testing effort, improve accuracy, and extend existing test frameworks to accommodate new feature releases. - Troubleshoot and isolate defects by analyzing system behavior, clearly documenting reproduction steps, and collaborating with developers to identify root causes and drive timely resolution. - Analyze change requests to assess their impact on test scope and product behavior, providing actionable recommendations to product owners that improve quality and accessibility for all customers. - Participate in defect triage, test planning, and prioritization discussions, while identifying opportunities to improve testing processes and leveraging generative artificial intelligence tools where appropriate to augment productivity. You take the time to deeply understand the complex technology that brings delightful experiences to our customers worldwide. You own quality campaigns, design and execute test strategies that prevent defects and bad customer experiences from reaching our customers. You advocate on behalf of our customers to improve the experience - no matter where they are or language they speak About the team Alexa Global Quality takes on the unique challenge of internationalizing Alexa features and devices for our customers. We deeply understand the linguistic, cultural and technical nuances that enable Alexa to delight customers everyday in an authentically-native way, across different cultures, languages and locations. - Speak, write, and read fluently in German - Bachelor's degree - Experience in quality assurance engineering - Experience in automation testing - Experience in manual testing - Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis - Experience in software-testing techniques (like equivalence class partitioning), and software testing life cycle - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization - Experience running or troubleshooting code in at least one modern programming language
