Duties Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and load testing. Design and execute automation frameworks for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms utilizing tools like Appium and related scripting languages. Perform API testing for RESTful web services using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or custom scripts in Python or JavaScript; analyze API responses and troubleshoot issues. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or TFS to facilitate continuous testing and rapid deployment cycles. Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues related to databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), system configurations, or code. Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs; translate these into detailed test cases and automation scripts aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test data, executing test cases, documenting results, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a focus on test automation across web and mobile platforms. Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript or C#; experience with automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD). Hands-on knowledge of API testing using RESTful services; familiarity with SOAP protocols is a plus. Experience working within Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; familiarity with SDLC processes and requirements gathering. Skilled in version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab or SVN; experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle or MongoDB; ability to perform data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL queries. Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM; strong analytical skills for problem-solving and root cause analysis. Understanding of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter; experience conducting system testing and performance assessments is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams; ability to interpret business requirements into technical test cases.
