The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of web and mobile applications. This role requires a combination of strong manual testing skills, technical understanding, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify issues, investigate their causes, and recommend practical improvements. The candidate should be equally comfortable testing applications from the end-user perspective and investigating technical issues with development teams . Key Responsibilities 1. Functional & End-to-End Testing - Design, document, and execute comprehensive test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Validate complete user journeys and business workflows across web and mobile applications. - Test positive, negative, boundary, and exceptional scenarios. - Verify input validations, error messages, system notifications, and application behavior. - Ensure new features work as expected without negatively impacting existing functionality. - Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing. - Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support business stakeholders throughout testing activities. 2. UI/UX & Usability Testing - Test user interfaces against approved Figma designs, wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications. - Verify the consistency of layouts, colors, typography, spacing, icons, buttons, and visual components. - Evaluate application usability, navigation, accessibility, and overall user experience. - Identify confusing workflows, unnecessary user steps, unclear instructions, and usability barriers. - Validate responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. - Test mobile application interfaces across different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating systems. - Validate the consistency and correct functionality of interactive elements, forms, menus, filters, search features, and navigation. - Verify both Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR) interfaces, including translations, alignment, text wrapping, and layout behavior. - Ensure error messages, confirmation messages, labels, and system feedback are clear and understandable. - Evaluate application behavior from an end-user perspective and proactively suggest usability improvements. - Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business analysts, and developers to resolve interface and usability issues. - Identify accessibility issues and recommend improvements based on recognized accessibility practices. 3. API Testing & System Integration - Test REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent tools. - Validate API requests, responses, HTTP status codes, authentication, and error handling. - Understand JSON payloads, API endpoints, and integration workflows. - Verify data consistency between frontend interfaces, backend services, and integrated systems. - Investigate API errors and identify potential integration issues. - Use browser developer tools to inspect network requests and troubleshoot application behavior. - Collaborate with developers to identify the root causes of technical defects. - Recommend practical solutions or workarounds based on technical findings. 4. Technical Troubleshooting & Application Monitoring - Investigate application defects using logs, API responses, browser developer tools, and monitoring dashboards. - Utilize monitoring and error-tracking solutions such as Sentry, Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, or similar tools. - Analyze application errors, exceptions, failed transactions, and performance issues. - Identify whether defects are related to the user interface, application logic, backend services, or integrations. - Perform initial root cause analysis and document technical findings. - Recommend corrective actions and preventive improvements. - Support post-deployment verification and production issue investigation. 5. Testing Tools & Quality Management - Use defect-tracking and testing platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent tools. - Maintain test cases, test execution records, defect reports, and regression testing checklists. - Report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, screenshots, videos, and technical evidence. - Track defects through investigation, fixing, retesting, and closure. - Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium is preferred. - Prepare testing summaries, release readiness assessments, and quality status reports. 6. Analytical Thinking & Continuous Improvement - Analyze issues from both technical and end-user perspectives. - Identify usability challenges and suggest improvements to application workflows. - Proactively identify functional gaps, edge cases, and potential system failures. - Recommend solutions rather than only documenting defects. - Evaluate the business impact, severity, and priority of identified issues. - Work collaboratively with developers, designers, product owners, and business analysts to improve overall application quality. 7. Communication & Collaboration - Communicate testing results, technical issues, and usability recommendations clearly to stakeholders. - Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, defect triage, and UAT discussions. - Prepare professional documentation and reports in English. - Work effectively with Arabic-speaking business users and English-speaking technical teams. - Explain technical problems and usability concerns in a clear, structured, and professional manner. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. - 3–5+ years of practical experience in software quality assurance. - Strong hands-on experience with manual functional testing of web and mobile applications . - Proven experience with UI/UX validation and usability testing . - Strong understanding of end-to-end user journeys and business workflows. - Practical experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools. - Ability to investigate technical issues and analyze API requests, responses, and application behavior. - Familiarity with application monitoring, logging, and error-tracking tools. - Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. - Experience with defect management and test documentation tools. Preferred Qualifications - ISTQB certification. - Experience with Figma for UI design inspection and validation. - Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG. - Experience using BrowserStack or similar cross-device testing platforms. - Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium. - Experience with SAP Commerce, CRM, or enterprise applications. - Familiarity with SQL, CI/CD, and integrated application architectures. - Experience in production support and post-deployment testing.
