We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer specializing in Oil & Gas/Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) systems to join our team and ensure the quality and compliance of our products, equipment, and operational processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. About the Position This is a hands-on technical quality position responsible for supporting product and operational quality across our workshop and field service activities. The QA/QC Engineer will work closely with the Operations Manager, QHSE Manager, Workshop, Field Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure that equipment, components, assembly, testing, and documentation meet applicable technical specifications, procedures, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in oil & gas manufacturing or service operations, quality inspection, equipment testing, calibration, nonconformance management, technical documentation, and failure investigation. Experience with Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) equipment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee quality inspections of equipment, components, materials, and operational processes. Monitor ESP equipment assembly and testing to ensure compliance with approved technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality requirements. Review and verify completed ESP equipment packages and quality documentation prior to product release. Identify and document product and process nonconformities and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required. Provide technical evidence and support investigations and corrective actions. Conduct and support Dismantle Investigation Failure Analysis (DIFA), including equipment teardown, inspection, technical investigation, and participation in customer investigation meetings when required. Manage and monitor the calibration and verification process for measuring and testing equipment, including calibration status, records, identification, and due dates. Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection records, certificates, calibration records, test results, NCR documentation, and material documentation. Identify quality issues and trends affecting products and processes and communicate findings to the QHSE Manager and appropriate operational management. Support compliance with the company's Quality Management System and applicable ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements. Provide technical records, documentation, and objective evidence in support of internal, external, customer, and API audits. Participate in quality audits as a technical subject matter resource when required. Conduct or participate in vendor quality audits and inspections as assigned. Support supplier quality activities related to product conformity, technical specifications, inspection, and documentation. Provide quality-related training and technical guidance to workshop and field personnel as required. Work closely with Workshop, Field Service, Logistics, and other functions to promote product quality and continuous improvement. Maintain strict compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental requirements. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of QA/QC, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, or related oil & gas experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant technical experience may be considered. Previous experience in oil & gas manufacturing, equipment service, repair, or workshop operations strongly preferred. Experience with ESP equipment is highly preferred. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and API Q1 quality requirements. ISO 9001 and/or API Q1 training, auditor certification, or equivalent quality-system credentials preferred. Experience with inspection, testing, calibration, NCRs, failure analysis, and technical quality documentation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, procedures, checklists, and test documentation. Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is a hands-on position that requires regular presence in a workshop environment. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. Exposure to noise, dust, odors, oil & gas equipment, and temperature variations. Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and safety shoes. Ability to lift/carry, push/pull, reach, squat, and kneel as required to perform inspections and equipment-related activities. Occasional travel may be required. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with equipment in a workshop environment, inspecting components, observing assembly and testing, investigating failures, reviewing technical documentation, identifying nonconformities, and working collaboratively with operations to resolve quality issues. ESP experience, oil & gas equipment knowledge, and practical manufacturing/workshop QA/QC experience will be considered significant advantages.
